Hi guys,
The mags and the hoverboard are ready for casting. Due to the amount of people in the interest list, we are going to send these out to a professional casting company to get them casted instead of John doing them himself, as he doesn’t have the equipment to make that many in a timely manner.
So in order to start with the casting, we need everyone in the interest list to please put down a 50% deposit for both because we need to pay for the castings upfront, in this way, we can let this company now how many of each to cast as they need a minimum run and paid upfront.
The mags final pricing will be $45 for the pair unpainted. ($23 deposit)
The hoverboard will be $65 and casted in a pink color. ($33 deposit)
Corrose will make the decals for the hoverboard. We don't know the pricing yet, but we are estimating they'll probably be $5-7 and he'll ship them all to John. That way when we ship, we'll ship everyone their hoverboard and decal together and people can just put them on.
So please start sending the 50% deposit for both to [email protected] (send as a gift or pay the paypal fees). The last day to send the deposits is May 12th.
Note: Once the casts are made, there will be no more made in the near future. (unless we get another high run number to get them to cast again)
We estimate it will take about a month to finish. In the meantime, John and Jen will continue working on the clothes, so hopefully by the time the casts are ready, the outfit will be ready as well and we could ship everything together.

It is very likely that we will have proto pics on the jeans and the shirt before the due date, but I don't think the proto for the jacket will be ready before that date as John and Jen are having a very hard time finding the correct fabrics for it, but don't worry, it is definitely happening.

Jen just finished the pattern for the shirt and jeans, but we still don't have any luck on the jacket grill material so I don't think we will get a sample finished any time soon.
The hoverboard and Mags are being sent to a professional casting company since I won't be able to make that many with the basic equipment I have. The issue also is that we have to give them a final count to begin casting and there won't be any more made after that unless it's a minimum order, which I don't think we will reach unless there is an overwhelming number of people who wants it afterwards. So if you really want the hoverboard and Mag, you do kind of have to make up your mind because I honestly don't believe we will have any extras after the run is done.
I'm rushing Jen to finish the shirt and jeans at least, but the jacket isn't going to happen until we find a suitable material and I honestly don't know when that will be. I want to make it as accurate as possible and don't want to cut any corners.

I'm another one that really wants all this stuff, but shoes and a hoverboard without outfit wouldn't do much for me. So, I might end up having to pass on the whole shebang if you can't get an outfit proto together in time. Why the rush to get the shoes and hoverboard cast? I reckon we could wait a while.

Agreed. No need to rush on the casting. Would like to see all the pieces in place first.

Thought this was a project offered as parts, rather than focussing on selling full sets. Which is why there are so many different interest lists. While I'm in for everything, and not really fussed if it comes at once or in pieces, there might be others wanting individual bits.

There isn't really a rush. When Origami and I first planned the project, we were doing them just as the Mags only, then the hoverboard, then the clothes. So we planned them as separate projects. I didn't know people were ordering them contingent of one or the other. If everyone doesn't mind waiting, I'm fine with waiting. Just keep in mind you won't see anything painted or casted for at least a month AFTER the clothes are done since we do have to send the parts out to get them casted.
Corrose has already agreed to help with the decals so I'll have to get a set of the shoes and board to him after we get the castings done.
