Okay, thanks for the clarification. Chances are this figure won't see the light of day till next year.

I would say there is very little chance of that. I would estimate 5-6 months after pre-order comes up. Seems the pre-order would be a month or two away at the earliest.

I'm only guessing. That's why I was wondering about the previous releases and current projects by Kim's team. How many have stayed on schedule in terms of release? From what I gathered they're taking longer than some folks expect (at least for full figures). By "light of day" I meant actually released (sorry!).

From what I've heard, it's gonna be a while before this guy sees the light of day. Plenty of time to save up!

Big fan of the grey suit w/red sweater look (was sort of in a bad spot w/Scott released his, unfortunately -- think he did a fantastic job w/his release). Like Karamazov says, just find it more visually interesting. Whatever look they go for stock, though, I do hope they make purchasing the other outfit an option, for those that want it. And yeah, as mentioned, fix the shoes. That's the only thing that really stuck out to me as wrong looking w/Cowboy, which was otherwise a great release.

I voted of course for the gray and red look, nothing defines the first movie (which the figure is based on) than that look when he stops that robbery while going to grab a snack... thats like the real intro for Dirty Harry the character. And ofcourse even in VMs thread when people voted for what was most iconic, this combo was voted and it won out...

If anyone saw the FAMCON pics remember there was a pic of Iminime's tailor Miss Kim Se A inspecting the clothes of the DH carefully... so I dont think the outfit will be any less good if not better. Blondie's clothing was awesome and that had a lot to do with the fact that all previous outfits by different artists were carefully inspected to learn where they fell short or what were thir stronger points. And with a sculptor who already has a phenom Clint in his resume... I dont regret pushing for this figure one bit... its one of my grails.

mmmmm.... Inspecting alright...:wink1::wink1:

Even if the tailoring is great, if Iminime wants to compete with Rainman's tailor then the quality of the clothing material really needs to improve IMO. In the past, the argument was made that this is a necessary concession to keep costs down, but if that's the case then it's not going to compete in the minds of many high end collectors. With the Rainman stuff. . .it's just on a completely different level in-hand. I hope you're right and Iminime is learning. But based on all the figures I've had from them so far (I believe I've had 5) they had a really long way to go.

:lecture:exactly::goodpost:

And only one person beats Rainman's tailor and that's Kato. To me Kato is king, followed by Rainman's tailor and Lupita (Betomatali). After that, there's a big gap and then the rest of the tailors follow. All of this, imo, of course. :wink1:

So far I haven't had a major issue with it (apart from those horrible horrible horrible shoes). They have been serviceable, I would say. But if they start creeping up on the Blondie-type prices more consistently ($500+) then I think I will start to be more discerning. I was just responding to axe's suggestion that this would be better than what Peterson put together though. Tall order.

Yeah, and the "I don't think the outfit will be any less good" is possible. "If not better".... hmmm... I don't think so. Unless they hire Kato. But then again, Hot Toys hired Kato for the Joker 2.0 outfit and it wasn't as good as the prototype. The thing is, companies as successful as iminime start to grow into mass production and that's great for them. But when that happens, the small details and quality, regarding clothing, sometimes suffer from prototype to final production pieces. It's not the same having the original tailoring artist making all of the pieces one by one with patience, than having him just make the pattern and sell it to a company to be reproduced in China by different (and maybe less talented) people who have to hurry up because of a deadline that has to be met.
Either way, I'm sure their clothing will be worth the price they ask. I'm very happy with my iminime Rah's suit, Daryl Clothes and American Psycho suit I've bought so far from them and they are worth the price I paid. Good stuff!

Awesome glad to see we are picking up a bit of steam here and getting some votes in :yess:. Personally as someone who owns 5 or 6 Iminime figures (a couple of them pretty recent releases) and a couple more on the way I gotta say as much as there tailoring is coming on leaps and bounds it's still a long way from the quality that people like Yunsil and Kato produce. That's not supposed to be taken as an insult to Denny and his team it's just a straight up fact in my opinion.

Sorry man but this made me laugh a little bit. I've no doubt that Iminime will do a good job which ever outfit they decide to go with and who know's it COULD be on par with Yunsil's offering it could not but to suggest something is going to be at least equal if not better just because you've seen a picture of somebody staring at something is hilarious :lol. I watch a lot of sport most recently tennis with Wimbledon on doesn't mean I can automatically replicate what I'm looking at lol extreme example but you get the idea...

And I hope my comments don't come off as insulting somehow, as that's not the intention. The Iminime outfits are fine. But when you're talking Rainman's tailor you are talking excellence. It's like you are comparing other professional basketball players to Michael Jordan or Lebron James. A, say, Jeff Hornacek or David West may be very good in their own right, but when you start comparing them to the best you realize that there is no comparison. I've never had a Kato outfit in-hand, and frankly, hope I don't. Because at that point I might feel even more spoiled as to what 1/6 custom clothing should be!

Trevor is confirmed to be doing a Dirty Harry sculpt. Probably going to be a good sculpt (Trevor hardly ever misses).

In regards to the tailor chosen, well, simply put, you get what you pay for. You want the best? Pay for it and move on.
