Any idea of what type of facial expression he'll have?

As iconic as the teeth gritting look is.
I feel like it's already been done enough times in 1/6.
Though, not as well as I'm sure snyderman can do it.
But still..it would be nice to see something new.

not yet, not talked to snyder-man facial expression on yet, first I need to get a good amount of people interested in the list for the project to go ahead

I think the subway sculpts are just fine, and really you need that figure anyway for the outfit :dunno

I disagree with you, I think the sculpture subway horrible, and as the clothes, the only major difficulty is in finding a red jacket, because the rest is pretty simple to find. I am by film fanatic, and since the quality of the sculptures we have today, I am very much in favor of a working height to that figure, the work of snyder-man evolves every day, and it was really cool to make available their time this project

puts your name in the list that you surely you will change your mind when you see the final work :lol

Problem for me is outfit. If I am going to upgrade Jack from the Subway version, then I would really want a full upgrade--not just the sculpt--and I don't see any other high end options for that jacket.

True, But what else would needed upgrading.

it's the outfit the people are most interested in. Jack Torrance by Subway is hard shoes to fill. But i would like to see your finished version.

Any one who has the Subway version would surely not mind having another expression? :hi5: :hi5:

I am surprised on the little interest this project is getting!

Lack of interest is probably more about the sculptor than the project. As a fan of thier work I check out most threads related to thier sculpts as they pop back to the top of page 1. For reasons I can't figure out thier work just isn't that popular here. The recently posted Kate Beckinsale is the best likeness so far of that actress, but that thread got little responce compared to a lot of other threads about lesser quality sculpts. I appreciate the fact that they are willing to take on sculpts without demanding 20 to 30 people show interest. As someone with a fluctuating income I also appreciate the fact that they have open ended editions and I don't have to worry about buying something before it's sold out. I'm thinking that thier laid back approach and the fact that the actual sculptor never visits this site breeds disinterest in the "gotta have it now" crowd. The irony of it to me is based on quality of work and background in the industry this sculptor should easily be one of the most popular here. Getting back to Jack Torrance I agree with the poster who mentioned that the Subway sculpt was not that great. It looked maniacal, but I didn't see Nicholson in it. Snyder-man has come through on other heads he said would happen so you will probably see this one at some point.

Yeah! I hope so, It is not so much that I want a new head, I see an almost perfect Jack Nicholson likeness. Although I would love another expression, As for clothing, maybe a different scene of the film? :yess: :yess:

:cuckoo::cuckoo: the subway sculpt is the best I've seen so far..maybe you have seen a fake one..headplay and kai has no reached the quality of the subway torrance..
in my opinion there is a lack of the interest because the head sculpted by snyder are too comic lifelike..

If you mean that Snyder-man's heads lack the 40 grit sandpaper skin texture that seems to be popular now, that may be a factor. Everyone seems to have different priorities when it comes to head sculpts. For me #1 is it HAS to look like the person it is suppose to represent. Over done skin texture or mannequin hair does not compensate for poor likeness in my book. I'll site Rainman's Ras Ah Ghul as a perfect example, The technique used for the skin texture and the hair was exceptional. However the sculpt bore little resenblence to Liam Neeson. l will always go with the head that looks the most like the actor/actress. I've seen the Subway figure in person. It's nice but if you compare the sculpt to pictures of Nicholson from the Shining the likeness isn't that good. If I remember correctly the forehead in particular was really off. Different stokes for different folks.
