hes nicely done, but i think the face is too small for the rest of his head. old ben needs bigger buggier eyes and nose.

Alec had fairly distinctive darker lower eyelashes, could this have contributed towards the bug eye look ? He was also more tanned than I think the photograph shows.
Jnix , would it be possible to photograph the painted sculpt forward facing with the chin lifted a little ? Similar to the black and white photograph of the unpainted sculpt ? It may help if the sculpt isn't facing down?

Great sculpt, I can see Alec there, But I am going to pass on it. I think Hot toys and Sideshow did a great job with theirs.

Yeah Jnix's is definitely a lot closer, and makes clear I think just how off the HT head is.

It's a good sculpt, but it's nowhere near enough the likeness of Guinness I'd feel the need to replace the hot toys sculpt.
Eyes are to close together, and not as bulging, mouth is too small, and the chin is too long and rounded.
I appreciate the work that has gone into it, but I'll pass.

I think I'm going to need to see it on the body to have some sort of context but i do agree that the eyes are a little too close together or maybe they're not wide enough? Also his cheek melolabial is too shallow which I think makes the sculpt look too young.

Here's what I did. I widened the eyes and mouth and added some shadow on the cheek fold by the mouth.

I don't see as much Guiness in the photo manipulation unfortunately. I think the colour and size of the Iris could be throwing the likeness off. We know how paint can change a sculpt. The unpainted sculpt in black and white is dead on Guiness. Could anyone enlarge the Iris and darken them also using the firward facing photograph please?

The longer I stared at this, the more the HT version starts to look like Sean Connery.

I've done a quick change to the colour saturation on my phone to see how it would look if he was more tanned. Not perfect but I think it shows promise.
