Lord of the Rings 1/4 Cave Troll

So the Weta cave troll is out of reach for most of us, a true grail piece. Got me thinking that the PF line will likely never get a cave troll... unless we make one!

I am in talks with a company to commission a 1/4 cave troll, which I figure will be just under 3 feet tall... so it would stand on par with the Dark Rider of Mordor and Sauron PFs.

But, as with anything, it all depends on interest! So... who is interested?

We can discuss poses, but right now we are debating between 4 poses.

1) Troll with long spear about to stab Frodo
2) More of a dio piece from where the troll is looking around the pillar for Frodo. Statue would include the column and maybe Frodo as well
3) Hammer/Mace raised over it's head
4) no weapon, arms swinging, kind of like a Hulk pose, similar in a way to the OG Hulk PF.

Well, what do we think?

Option 4 would be the best I imagine. I'm not interested in the piece but scene-specificity can be a problem sometimes. A nice dynamic pose that displays the character is usually the best choice. "Premium Format" style wise, anyways. A dio is cool but maybe in a different line. What do I know though, I guess. Looking forward to seeing the finished piece regardless.

Yeah that makes sense. Personally I think option 1 is best because it has a weapon and isn't as specific as 2 and 3 if he is just ready to attack. But option 4 is definitely my second choice, close behind the other. A nice dynamic, non-specific pose is great.

I think maybe Number Four but with the Mace in his Hand and looking slightly Downwards as he would Tower over Everyone.

Cool. The artist actually just sent me this as a reference for pose. I agree it should be looking just SLIGHTLY down tho.

That's a nice pose and design.
Face is a little off from a Cave Troll though.

That is just a reference for pose. Not our art. I agree the face is wrong but the pose is pretty great.

That looks about right for the pose I would want. The SS 1/2 bust would be a good piece to get details for the head. I always like the arrows sticking out of him and that would translate well into a PF(like the Berserker).

Battle damage is always cool (except when it's stupid scuffs on the hot toys Ironman armors) so maybe an arrow or two and possibly a gash in his right side from the steer? Even though that doesn't make chronological sense if he has the hammer still.

Yeah... I just don't know if I'm allowed to over there. But I guess I can at least post the pictures.

I wish Shadow and the Flame was still up. I had just started a thread there when it went down.

I have seen other Custom Piece's on their before?
Plus there is a separate Customs Section under the LOTR Section that this could go under too.
So, I would think it should be Ok?
