Re: 1:6 Heath Ledger as The Joker Painted Headsculpt WIP PIC UPDATED in 1st POST

Those wondering about the pronounced frown-lines or wrinkles, just let me inform you that a lot of the texture here is exaggerated... most of it will be cleaned up as the sculpt progresses. Plus whatever exaggeration you may see on the final sculpt will be there to ensure that the casts have the proper texture on them.

Hi Axecutioner, do u know if the final version, ll be added real hair too?

Re: 1:6 Heath Ledger as The Joker Painted Headsculpt WIP PIC UPDATED in 1st POST

Here's a comparison

Re: 1:6 Heath Ledger as The Joker Painted Headsculpt WIP PIC UPDATED in 1st POST

Im not sure. Besides you can customise it with real hair yourself. Adam pastes strands of real hair and paints it to match the part of the sculpted hair etc etc

Re: 1:6 Heath Ledger as The Joker Painted Headsculpt WIP PIC UPDATED in 1st POST

Adams brow is different and the cheaks should be lower,i think it looks too much like br sculpt,I have one of those,it should look more like Adams, also did he start with ledger or sculpt off if a joker pic?

Re: 1:6 Heath Ledger as The Joker Painted Headsculpt WIP PIC UPDATED in 1st POST

I think steven has a point.

Re: 1:6 Heath Ledger as The Joker Painted Headsculpt WIP PIC UPDATED in 1st POST

I really wont be able to explain this way to the sculptor. A side by side picture of this sculpt and a half finished Adam sculpt really wont help me explain things because both are not really the same 'base of comparison' if you understand what I mean.
A photoshop manip and lines highlighting what the improvements can be like would be more ideal.

Im sorry if Im asking for too much, but I want to be able to give the sculptor input which can solidly mark whatever areas he can implement improvements and not get lost in terms of interpretation.

Re: 1:6 Heath Ledger as The Joker Painted Headsculpt WIP PIC UPDATED in 1st POST

Looking at Steven's comparison picture it looks to me as if Adam's sculpt has more fat and more relaxed eyebrow area compare to our sculpt.

Also, again I know we are not supposed to compare this sculpt to Adam's but rather compare it to still pictures. But since Adam's Joker is arguably the best one around, and I have one at the moment, there are things that I like to point out.

Assuming that the artist is going to go with the combinations of sculpted and real hair implant because I notice there are no hair dangling on the side of the face like the DX11 :dunno.

Here is the photoshop that I did.

In Adam's sculpt, he make the lower part of the hair silhouette to a curve and let the real hair implant do all the feathering which is kinda nice.

The front part/tip of the hair needs to be a little forward for the placement of the hair implant that is dangling on the side of the face (on DX11 i believe this is sculpted, this is one of the reason that makes me think that the artist will make the hair implant in the end because it is no present in the WIP pics).

I also circle the nose part that I think it's a little too flat, but maybe it's just because of the light that play tricks on the form.

The last concern that I have is the neck size, I'm not sure at which stage the artist should pay attention to this but maybe if everyone here agree, you could point this to the artist. I post about this on Post #202.

Guys again just to remind you, there was never any confirmation from me that real hair will be a part of this project, so incase you all still feel real hair is coming, I would rather you not set yourselves up with expectations like that.

And thanks for that picture pointing and circling things out, I would really like if suggestions about the sculpt was given to me in that manner as it really helps in getting the exact details of the point across.

I really think the hair looks amazing like that! It will be perfect for the mob scene! And I don't think the goal should be to duplicate the adam HS! By respect for adam and the sculptor! And seriously, this wip is really incredible!!! :)

Imo, the sculpt is going to a wonderful outcome, but the lack of some real hair strands, ll kill the real life like that he is getting

If there aren't gonna be a real hair then forget about the part where I talk about the hair :). Just the neck size on post #202.

Can u confirm with the sculptor, if he is planning or not add real hair on it?
Cause depending, the hair ll be sculpting in diferent ways, to acomodate or not the strands

Re: 1:6 Heath Ledger as The Joker Painted Headsculpt WIP PIC UPDATED in 1st POST

Seeing how the sculpt is going I doubt there will be any real hair added. Sorry man. Hope you can do any necessary modifications yourself on the sculpt if you really want that real hair.
I personally like sculpted hair because I want it to look consistent with the rest of my display and also because of longevity.

I think it is unfair, but at the same time it is expected whenever the bar has been set.

If you keep making comparison pics with Adam's you're going to end up with one that looks like Adam's (Close anyways)

I would rather see corrections done using reference pics from the movie, but thats just my opinion

Re: 1:6 Heath Ledger as The Joker Painted Headsculpt WIP PIC UPDATED in 1st POST

Looks good as it is, as it's still a WIP. Hopefully the sculptor would be up for a second 'hit me' sculpt if possible.

Re: 1:6 Heath Ledger as The Joker Painted Headsculpt WIP PIC UPDATED in 1st POST

I think the nose size/shape is great so far for a WIP...the flat area just needs to be refined and rounded a bit...but the overall size and shape is looking good to me

Thnks for the heads up bud, sorry keep pushing the same real hair button., my expectations was too high about it, i hope you understand. :)
So only rest to me wait and see if the sculptor in the end can manage both ways according our preferences.
Thanks to be in the front line of this
