Re: 1:6 Heath Ledger as The Joker Painted/Unpainted Headsculpt (FINAL PICS UPDATED)

Yup I agree with you guys, the interrogation paint up looks great but something about the eye that throws it off. It looks as if almost they are too round or somethin'.

Re: 1:6 Heath Ledger as The Joker Painted/Unpainted Headsculpt (FINAL PICS UPDATED)

the question is, will these fixes be heard and addressed for the final product?

Re: 1:6 Heath Ledger as The Joker Painted/Unpainted Headsculpt (FINAL PICS UPDATED)

Kinda reminds me of this.

This is the final proto. Dont know if the artist is willing to do anything else....

I think the hair is too thick and poofy.
And the sculpt at profile and sligjtly to the side looks great, but straight on it looks off tbh.

More pictures in very bright light conditions (oppositive of the previous photos) To show the naturalness of the paint onto the sculpt, trying to mimic how actual makeup works on a person, adjusting to the skin

The Interrogation Makeup Painted sculpt shown in the following picture has the Hair Extensions Not Glued. Showing the kind of slots it makes.

Wow I'd honestly love the mob scene without the hair extensions. Is that in any way possible? The interrogation sculpt looks much better too. Not sure if it's the lighting or the missing hair

Re: 1:6 Heath Ledger as The Joker Painted/Unpainted Headsculpt (MORE FINAL PICS UPDAT

I think the hairline on the forehead and the paint (Which looks dark, it may be poor lighting) is what's throwing this off. Like Fiend said the profile shot is unmatched.

Prototype pics!

Firstly please remember we are planning to take more pics, which will be updated later. But these are the final painted prototypes.

Interrogation Scene Makeup Painted Sculpt with Full Hair

Interrogation Scene Makeup Sculpt without Hair Extensions is still being checked for feasibility as we were planning to individually fill the gaps however if the tests arent upto the mark then the extendedhairless option will be abandoned.

Paint job looks great and accurate for that scene. :clap

Hmm looking at these pictures it just looks like a 1/6th version of Enterbays as the head looks too skinny or long, eyes are too deep set and small that u can't even see them. Maybe if the Iris of the eyes are painted bigger it would have better likeness. :dunno

Nevertheless, still better than Hot Toys but I guess I was hoping for something more than just a miniature EB Joker.

Re: 1:6 Heath Ledger as The Joker Painted/Unpainted Headsculpt (FINAL PICS UPDATED)

It cost 2K?? Lol.....I'll stick to the Hot Toys. Nice piece but 2K??? Not a chance.....

I would still pick this sculpt over Hot Toys one, right now it is the best alternative to Adam's one.

Yeah, the hair is a little too perfect. But it's hard to achieve the thin/greasy look of the movie without actual rooted hair.

The paint is really well done, but is almost overdone in some respects. It may just be the lighting/macro setting of the pics, but the texturing of the face is too bumpy and his skin pores look too pronounced and almost crusty in some of the pictures.

Sometimes less is more. I think if the artist simplified the paint and allowed lighting to take care of the sculpt's subtle texturing,
the overall paint job would look more natural/realistic.

The skin texture may not be noticeable at this small scale in hand.

Re: 1:6 Heath Ledger as The Joker Painted/Unpainted Headsculpt (MORE FINAL PICS UPDAT

The skin texture is not any different from what you get from a High quality custom. And to be able to notice it in hand you will need to have eyes like a hawk. Rather maybe like Superman. :lol

Also the reason I posted two sets of photos under different set of lighting is to show how it reacts under different lighting and how that would correspond to real life. The macro shots pick up detail in the makeup which is normal to real human being putting facepaint smeared with their hands. The painter hasn't painted any texture. The methods used have been done to mimic real application as much as possible.

If people are not happy with the paint there is an unpainted blank sculpt option too. I'm sure you can get a painting done of your own choice by your own preferred painter.

That's what I figured! :lol

Axe do you have any information on the availability of both paint jobs without the hair extensions? I definitely prefer one without them.

I gotta be honest, I think it looks better in natural lighting. I think i prefer it without the hair extrention as well.

Nix the hair extension altogether I say.

I can't believe how much better the sculpt on the rigjt looks now.

Axe, can you post a pic of it next to the DX 12 head? needs to know about the exact actual size of it compared side by side.. Thanks in advance.

Re: 1:6 Heath Ledger as The Joker Painted/Unpainted Headsculpt (MORE FINAL PICS UPDAT

There is a pic of it on the DX11 body earlier in the thread.

If you guys don't want hair extensions I'm not sure what can do to give a final product. Would you guys be okay if the extensions were unglued when delivered? I will look into it but can't promise there will be actual modifications
