Re: 1:6 Heath Ledger as The Joker Painted/Unpainted Headsculpt (MORE FINAL PICS UPDAT

If you guys don't want hair extensions I'm not sure what can do to give a final product. Would you guys be okay if the extensions were unglued when delivered? I will look into it but can't promise there will be actual modifications
I'd be okay with that. Can we get a closer look at the area where the extensions are supposed to be glued? If it's not too much trouble

Re: 1:6 Heath Ledger as The Joker Painted/Unpainted Headsculpt (MORE FINAL PICS UPDAT

Lets be honest, the idea with the extensions was a great one. My respect to the sculpter for trying this. The intention was to make this sculpt as accurate as possible and the hair length changed through the movie. Awesome if a sculpter is paying attention to those details. This being said I have to admit that in my eyes the idea was worth a try bit did not turn out as great as the sculpter had it in mind. If I would offer this, id get rid of the hair attatchments. Close the gabs in general and have this issue done. It simply looks miles better without the hair attatchements.
I want to stress, that there is no negativity in post. This sculpt is pretty amazing! One of the best out there!

Re: 1:6 Heath Ledger as The Joker Painted/Unpainted Headsculpt (MORE FINAL PICS UPDAT

I'm still trying to figure out how I feel about the sculpt in general. It looks so different from the pics earlier to now that I have no idea how it will look in hand.

But ill tell you one thing, if it were to just come without thay gap closed in the head I'm out for sure.

Like King said, I really dig that he went for it but its too thick and hangs way too far away from the head.

Re: 1:6 Heath Ledger as The Joker Painted/Unpainted Headsculpt (MORE FINAL PICS UPDAT

I had a chat with the artist. The interrogation sculpt will as planned not have hair extensions. The gap will be closed post casting.
If any Mob Boss Makeup people also dont want the hair extension on the left side of the sculpt then that too can be arranged.

The downside is, we cannot produce a painted prototype as the main sculpt is a one off.
So if you are willing, and have the faith you can dive.

Just mention in your email that you dont want the extensions.

Re: 1:6 Heath Ledger as The Joker Painted/Unpainted Headsculpt (MORE FINAL PICS UPDAT

Sweet. Hey axe, can we see some pics of the Mob paint without the extention.

And maybe some more pics in general with natural lighting?

And axe, seriously, thanks a lot for making this happen. I know it must be a pain in the butt to go back and forth between us and the artist, making changes, asking questions etc.

I second this. Likeness seems to be better on the mob meeting paint, so I'd be keen to see that one without the hair extension. I also think this sculpt with properly done rooted hair would look amazing.

Re: 1:6 Heath Ledger as The Joker Painted/Unpainted Headsculpt (MORE FINAL PICS UPDAT

I also would like to see mob paint without the extensions just so I can make my decision, but if I understood correctly, the gap will not be closed on the mob paint even if we ask for the hair to be separated correct? If that's the case then I guess interrogation is the only option

Re: 1:6 Heath Ledger as The Joker Painted/Unpainted Headsculpt (FINAL PICS UPDATED)

I don't know what to think about the sculpt though. The best pic I've seen of it is the one below, to the right.

Which is the same as this. :lol

Regardless of the extention the likeness isn't as good to me.

I need more pic I think. Natural lighting.

No, thats not correct. If you ask for no hair extension irrespective of what makeup paint, it will be done. But for Interrogation that is the default option as per the original plan was for the Interrogation look.

It boils down to the lighting and the eyes. If the eyes are off, it throws the likeness off of anybody. Having the extension off defiantly improves the likeness but that doesn't excuse the actual sculpt of the eyes, or perhaps it's the paint app of it.

BTW we will stop all email enquiries regarding this project from April 18th onwards. Thank You for your continued support and interest.

Re: 1:6 Heath Ledger as The Joker Painted/Unpainted Headsculpt (MORE FINAL PICS UPDAT

The lighting is definitely a factor. I really like the sculpt under the light and without the hair extensions. I think the hair was intruding on the sculpt's likeness. Also, those darker pics are on macro and probably look different in hand. I'm actually pretty happy with it now, I just have to see the mob paint without the extensions to make my decision.

I can't say for sure what's wrong with the sculpt, if you look at the screenshots I took on the previous page of the interrogation scene, the pic on the bottom left looks pretty damn close. I couldn't say what's off about it as it's not 99% but I'm happy with it

Really? It's pretty obvious to me what is off. The number one thing would be the eyes, but most of us knew that before we saw this painted. The only thing I am suprized by is how skinny the head is. It seems to look normal when its not put on a DX11 body but once it is on the DX11 body it looks really skinny like Enterbays. Maybe the head is undersized in width. :dunno

How big would you want the head to be?

I feel like the eye issue is gone when it's under decent lighting. I actually thought the dx11's jaw was wayyy too strong so I prefer this one

As wide as the DX11 or Adams in this picture, look how skinny and long the sculpt looks compared to those two. Anyway it is what it is.

No its always an issue the eyes are too small and set far too back, but this was something most of us knew when we saw the sculpt unpainted anyway, so I am not surprized by that.

Not sure what u mean by way too strong but it did have an odd shape. Nevertheless it had the correct width.

You do realise you cannot make that judgement based on a photoshop manipultaion placing two actual figures placed alongside one another with a literal 2D cutout? Photoshop will not capture or recapture the proportion and depth of an original wih another by a simple resize. The original picture has its own inherent depth. Basically its portraying its own 3 dimensions. The photoshop manip of this sculpt on the DX11 taken from a different source is like placing a 2D cardboard alongside the original picture so it doesnt truly replicate depth in comparison to the picture to make a judgementcall of how much smaller or bigger it is compared to the DX11. Dont make judgementcalls based on that photoshop picture please.

If you can show a better proportion or what you mean directly from a movie scene or screenshot, please do so. But till then using the analogy of a an independent shot with simply a resized composite beside it doesnt portray reality.

Re: 1:6 Heath Ledger as The Joker Painted/Unpainted Headsculpt (MORE FINAL PICS UPDAT

The head is not skinnier, it's all about light. We need another picture with different light sources to see that.
And with hair off it looks much better also because of shadows.

I think you misunderstood what I meant, I don't mean the head should be as wide as Adams or the DX11 in the pics. I meant it should be the same proportion in width as Adams and the DX11 sculpts are relative to the body.

I am not going to draw any fancy diagrams because it is just looks obvious IMO that the head is undersized in width relative to the body, just by going by these pics.

It doesn't look too skinny without the coat but it is still looks undersized in width.
