Re: 1:6 Ledger Joker Painted Headsculpt PLEASE READ FIRST POST!

I just don't want to see Hot toys waste anymore time with Joker...just cause it's popular doesn't mean it warrants ver.3.4.5.6.7 etc etc.

I wasnt mention ht, actually i was saying about custom works ( master sculptors for ex).
80% of ht releases doesnt say nothing to me. I am almost giving up ht releases something from matrix or bttf for example.
But if you ask me if i prefer joker 3, 4, 5.... Than iron man 42, 43...
I ll keep joker

add me to the waitlist please! thanks

Re: 1:6 Ledger Joker Painted Headsculpt PLEASE READ FIRST POST!

Thanks for such support even in such circumstances where you have to go with nothing but pure faith.
I sincerely hope and pray not to disappoint you guys... Will take the results and discuss things like

1. Nature of hair
- at the moment sculpted hair or mixed media (sculpted and partly real) is what I feel will work best. Complete Rooted hair is not something that can be stylised/managed to look very accurate on the long run at such a small scale simply because Joker's hairstyle is a very tricky prospect to look good and maintain in the long run

2. The no. of optional paintjobs
- We all know that the Joker's look can be defined by just different paintjobs showing the deteriorating makeup as the movie progresses.
However for the artist to keep consistency per paintjob of the same style over a longer run has to be done at an organised manner for maximising efficiency. So I will have to negotiate to see how many different types of paintjobs he is willing to do.

Thats the status of my plan at the moment. Your suggestions and input are welcome.

Re: 1:6 Ledger Joker Painted Headsculpt PLEASE READ FIRST POST!

In my opinion, I like the sculpted hair with partial real hair. As for paint, I think 3 would work. 1. Mob meeting 2. Hit me 3. Interrogation.

Re: 1:6 Ledger Joker Painted Headsculpt PLEASE READ FIRST POST!

:exactly: Totally agree... 3 key scenes, which depict the difference in makeup apps

Yeah, I thought the mob meeting and party crash make up are pretty similar, so maybe a mob meeting or party crash. One of those two could work, I felt like if there were 4 choices, it could a stressor on the painter and mix ups could be more likely to happen.

I dig the expression. Neutral is the way to go. I also agree with with the paint styles. I think those three will make the most people happy. Besides those are the ones most commonly used. Mob, Interrogation, Hit Me.

They are great choices, and i think 3 options would be sufficient. seeing previous custom joker head paint ups, these 3, seem to be the most popular

I forgot about the expression. An angry/stern face is cool but doesn't really represent the joker IMO. You would think a huge grin would be the way to go seeing as how he's the joker but I not a big fan of that either. The dx 11 sculpt is awesome, I just not really a fan of the crooked smile. I would say neutral is the way to go.

Also, sorry if I'm posting a lot about this head sculpt in the making, even though I'm on the wait list and am not an avid joker figure commenter and even if I don't get this sculpt, I would at least try to help make this sculpt perfect. (That was a long run on sentence):lol

Re: 1:6 Ledger Joker Painted Headsculpt PLEASE READ FIRST POST!

Now will we know the actual price before we pay the deposit? I can do $350 with a non refundable deposit with only having to scrounge another $250 but if all the sudden this thing is $500 or something I don't think there's a way I could pull $400 out of nowhere.

I mean, is the price something you talked about with this person or is this something you are just gauging from past transactions with him?

Oh, and btw, thanks for pushing to get this thing going, axe. :)

Re: 1:6 Ledger Joker Painted Headsculpt PLEASE READ FIRST POST!

I'd like to be added to the wait list, thx.

Re: 1:6 Ledger Joker Painted Headsculpt PLEASE READ FIRST POST!

I think sculpted hair with partial real hair is the way to go. I'd rather a neutral expression with full paint no deteriorating paint. Being that most of the movie his war paint was full. Don't know if it matters but Axe you have my freaks name wrong on the list it's Machew1031 :)

Re: 1:6 Ledger Joker Painted Headsculpt PLEASE READ FIRST POST!

How much does it take for a usual commission from Adam?

I can tell you these things which I have agreed with the artist

1. The deposit will NOT be more that $100 per person

2. The price of the sculpt will certainly be below $500 in total. I mean I have a hard time paying $300 myself, even $100 is a big deal for me. So you know I will do my best to keep the cost down.

Re: 1:6 Ledger Joker Painted Headsculpt PLEASE READ FIRST POST!

Seen his work.....impressive. Really looking forward to see how he comes out with this. His Bale sculpt is long sold out I take it?
