A behind the scenes look of the sculpts being worked on, as you can see the hair is done, and so is the skin and eye whites, now what remains is hair dye, some more layers of skin, makeup and pupil. The ones who wanted unpainted sculpts withour hair extensions will now have to wait as due to the recent events all orders will be shipped together after the whole order list is completed.

So please be patient, we are still on schedule for a Late June early July shipping date.

Given the current situation that´s perfectly understandable, I don´t mind the wait. Still super pumped for this. :)

Ok all those whose orders are pending (painted orders) your sculpts are close to completion. Do realise All heads are painted together, as in all layers are added parallely. Because its impossible to complete one sculpt only one by one as the artist only gets to paint on the weekends when he is not engaged in his professional work.

Yeah it looks good unpainted as u can tell that is obviously Ledger but once painted it doesn't exactly blow me away. I am afraid if I get this and if I don't like the look of this in hand, then because of those horrible recast sellers, I won't be able to sell it off :(

You will be able to resell it. Maybe not for 300+ but for a decent price nevertheless.
To be honest I am already regretting to not have bought one. The WIP pic shows a fantastic sculpt. Cant wait for the interrogation variant...

Are they doing another sculpt for the interrogation variant? I just thought this sculpt with interrogation paint job was the only one they were ever going to offer. :huh

Looks amazing, axecutioner18. You and the great artist are doing an excellent job on this project and I fully support everything you guys are doing. Keep up the good work. I can't wait to get my wonderfully painted head-sculpts.

Cheers !

Why'd you buy it in the first place? lol

I prayed to Baby Jesus to please not let my Grandma die, now she is a zombie and noone will date her on Eharmony.com, and I have to take care of her. The moral of the story is buy stuff for yourself and not for resale, it will always come back to bite you in the couch cushions.

We'll use this logic, you own a joker, having that, have you ever wanted to buy one of those mass produced knock off of the hot toys one? Has the hot toys original joker head lost value?, no it has gained value. And those knock off hot toys heads are terrible.

When the recast heads are available, they will most likely be off as much as the recast heads of the hot toys.

Another comparison is rainman to aeon. Rainman heads paint asp are nicer than aeons which are pretty fantastic by themselves. The rainman painted heads are coveted, and sell for many times more if they at all come up for sale. This painter of the recast is no aeon, let alone rainman.

I don't know. Seems like someone asking that question doesn't get that answer. If you do support artists, and don't support unethical recasting, then the availability and cost of counterfeit recasts is irrelevant.

It's a rhetorical question not a statement of support for recasting. My point is, if you had read the complete statement, that this type of recasting practice discourages collectors from supporting new projects and artists. I am part of 7-10 original sculpting projects right now. Am I going to pull my support from any of those projects? No. Have I asked for my money back on this one? No. Am I going to continue to support other original projects? Absolutely. Am I going to be pi$$ed when some of these show up on ebay for 1/4 the price? Yes. But so what? Recasting is a part of the hobby. It has been for years it will continue to be in the future. It is also becoming more sophisticated, more blatant, and with a faster turnaround. You can't get around that. As long as there is a buck to be made in the "gray market" somebody is going to be out there to make it. My point/hope is, however, that it does't discourage artists or collectors from continuing to support high quality projects like this one. It will be a shame if we don't get the opportunity to support a high quality Indiana Jones sculpt because of this. Sure if there are ways to make original pieces more attractive to the collector--numbering, artist signed, CoA, etc.-- that's cool but not essential. But on the other hand we who are supporting these projects need to go in with our eyes open and be prepared to see pieces that we pay upwards of $200-$300 on show up on ebay for a fraction of the price. I can live with that.

The consistency of the resale value of actual Hot Toys heads is different than customs, though. Often times with customs, you can't give them away, then you'll have ones that increase 1000000000% in value. Hot Toys seems to have a much smaller difference in their highs and lows.

Thanks - I'd probably have to give the nod to "Progression" for their best album, but "Designs" is definitely my favorite.

True because Zombie Prescription is probably my all time favorite song of theirs - just don't like every song on the album. Caboose and suffocates are a close 2nd and 3rd on the album.

Designs is a good listen start to finish much like looking glass self.

Back on topic...

Hell yeah "Progression through Unlearning" rules. That album still pumps me up as much as it did the first time I heard it. It's hard to believe that album came out in 1997. It was really ahead of its time.

All that aside, why can't we know the edition size? In just curious why that is such a hot button
Seems like this question continually gets glossed over when other questions are answered. Its been asked numerous times AGAIN. I can't think of any reason why we can't know, but the ignoring of the question after all this recast stuff, and the curt, unexplained previous answer of "no" is off-putting.
