I found the name. Little POS. If he doesn't respond probably him. He Does have recasted pics of scarlet clearly stated. Not sure if he owns them.

For the record, I am still going to support this project. What is shown for the recast and what they end up with may be very different. Look at the hot toys recast. They look like garbage. I have a name of the dirtbag, and that is what I needed for myself to set the record straight for me about what has happened. I hope MJ does not let this whole thing get him down, but rather give him all the reason to show off his skills that much better.

I do think if these heads were all shipped at once, many of the issues would have been moot.

That right there is what it boils down to. The fact that this was recasted before people received their orders. Aside from that this really isn't any different from every other recast situation. I see how it can appear different or feel different, but it's not. If you're someone who would buy directly from the artist (or on the secondary market if the sculpt wasn't available) regardless of the existence of a recast, then none of this should matter to you. The people who have a higher moral code will continue to dig a little deeper in their pockets to support the artist and not fund recasting; the people who couldn't care less will continue to support thieves. Same as it ever was

agreed. Support the artist, axe himself has said he will make Bill and Indy happen, recasts should not be a reason to deter talented artists because at the end of the day, the recasts are inferior in quality. I just dislike the fact that people started to jump ship and ask for refunds because the recasts were available for $40.

The one good thing about the recast are they are going to be done in plastic. That is the only way to make money or do it for cheap. Who knows how they will end up. Plastic injection is a bit of hit and miss even for the big companies. When the plastic dries and cools it distorts. The nickel and dime recaster a like babyq, would be more apt to make a better copy, but if they don't continue to remake molds and keep making it from the master then the molds distort over time and quality goes bad fast, which is a lot of work, not likely from him. Babyq doesn't seem to be able to do small items like bills mustache. Which at best makes him a amature in all likelyhood. So he probably can't do the hair pieces. I think anyone with great experience with making high quality molds and casting would want more than either of these two nuckle heads charge to make a quality product.

It's a shame that this happened, but as many have said it's part of the hobby. If it wasn't the unpainted head getting recast it would have eventually been one of the painted ones. Sure it usually takes longer, but the BTILC head was recast almost as quickly. Sadly you can't trust everyone in this hobby to do the right thing and not recast, or not buy a recast.

Although this thread is disappointing for the few that would have the stones to accuse the artist and person who helped get the project together.

One time I thought I had genital herpes I went to the doctor and it was just an ingrown infected hair, that is why you should never rush to judgement!

I can get a good look at a T-bone by sticking my head up a bull's ass, but I'd rather take a butcher's word for it.

That's just nasty.

Well this sucks. Haven't received it yet and here comes a recast. This type of thing is absolutely going to discourage folks from getting in on the higher end sculpts. Why pay $300 when a serviceable recast will come down the pipe a few months later. Clearly it's getting cheaper and easier to do this type of thing and as long as there's a market for them they are going to happen. There aren't any easy answers.

Ok all those whose orders are pending (painted orders) your sculpts are close to completion. Do realise All heads are painted together, as in all layers are added parallely. Because its impossible to complete one sculpt only one by one as the artist only gets to paint on the weekends when he is not engaged in his professional work.

A behind the scenes look of the sculpts being worked on, as you can see the hair is done, and so is the skin and eye whites, now what remains is hair dye, some more layers of skin, makeup and pupil. The ones who wanted unpainted sculpts withour hair extensions will now have to wait as due to the recent events all orders will be shipped together after the whole order list is completed.

So please be patient, we are still on schedule for a Late June early July shipping date.

I don't know. Seems like someone asking that question doesn't get that answer. If you do support artists, and don't support unethical recasting, then the availability and cost of counterfeit recasts is irrelevant.
