I'll look into the CoA but I have seen its not a deterrent to recasters. The box is technically the signature of authenticity. All MJ12 sculpts will come in that premium box.

@Turbo: Next time better check what you paid for buddy. The mods do have the right to censor and even ban you. The problem with your posts is that they cause heat in a situation that is already critical. You are no customer, so why cause heat? Your posts dont help to solve the issue but to male people feel even more uncomfortable. If I were you Id just move on in peace and let the customers, axe and MJ12 find a benefitial solution. Its simply not your business.

This being said, same goes for me.

With my previous post I just wanted to suggest a solution by adding a certificate to the original. I appreciated when I got my Imnime Gordon which was one of the first projects organized by axe and Denny. It wasnt without issues aswell as HT directly announced their Gordon after we got ours although Denny said he was friends with HT and knew they wont do a Gordon. Now after a some time I still habe both Gordons in my collection and wont part with either one. Yet Iminime Gordon is going for a good amount of money now, although there are decent alternatives.
I believe people will be less interested in the actual issue when they finally will get their product. And if there is even a certificate I believe everybody will be satisfied again and if not at least able to sell it. :)

True it won't stop them but people will feel a bit better with it and a numbered C.O.A. I'm pretty sure you can recast a painted head just the same as an unpainted so as much as we try nothing will stop it but buyers in the know won't be willing to purchase one from someone without the C.O.A

U don't think having a box is proof enough that it is the genuine article? :huh

I feel safe when mine is in a box!!!!

Why not add real hair to the painted sculpts? I believe Adam's sculpts were not copied because of it. The real hair and glass eyes is what the bobyc sculpt so great. Yeah babyq recasted the bobyc head, but look at it, not really a great sculpt is it without the glass eyes and real hair. Babyq won't get his 600 dollar investment back on that bobyc joker, he will lucky to get half, and a ruined original sculpt as well. Maybe do what Adam did, attach small clumps of hair in those areas where the castes hair would go.

I was going to do that with mine.

So krec9 you also believe its true that me and the artist wanted to scam the buyers and therefore supplied the recasters with the sculpt. So I basically wanted to recast my own project!! How nice!!
And now because my project has been stolen and recasted I am liable to compensate the legitimate buyers?!

Answer these questions please.

Because that's all he has been harping about and alluding to since yesterday. When it came to the recasting issue his comments had nothing about it. All his posts were either snidely calling us the culprits or directly saying we are scamsters that's it.

No, I don't believe thats true but I don't see why someones comments should be deleted when they payed for the membership.

Personally I think the glass eyes is what ruin the likeness of the Bobby C sculpt since it looks like Ledger without the glass eyes unpainted but all painted with those large glass eyes distorted the likeness. Nevertheless, the glass eyes sure did bring the sculpt to life though, shame by doing that it ruined the likeness though. :(

I think it is too late for that now, aren't these getting sent out soon?

I know this is some what off topic but I really dislike when people say "i know this is SSF" like a bad thing, not just this thread but I've seen it in others, yes there are annoying people and scammers here but there is also a lot of cool and nice people I have come in contact with, an amazing amount of talent on this board, I wish people wouldn't trash this forum so much, I love coming here and enjoying this hobby even more, just ignore the bad and focus on the good, sorry the sculpt got recasted, sucks, hope you guys figure it all out, just wanted to chime in about the SSF bashing. I truly enjoy this forum and love some of the conversations, custom works, knowledge and collections shared.

As someone who is guilty of this, I just want to explain my comment to you, and any other boardies I like that may have taken offense. I didn't mean it as a blanket statement (although I can certainly see how it might come off that way) against the entire SSF population. What I meant was, SSF over the past few years has seemingly been attracting more and more cynics, critics, entitled, and just down right negative people. That doesn't take away from the plethora of awesome folks (such as yourself) here, but it has made the overall environment a bit unpleasant for me. Facebook, for instance, is much more civil and grounded, and there seems to be a greater overall sense of positive community.

Ultimately you're right though, Aj, and I won't be making those types of comments anymore. SSF is not to blame for the actions of a vocal minority. This site gave me my start in the hobby, continues to introduce me to friendly collectors, and keeps me connected to those friends I've made along the way. For that I am grateful. :)

Sorry but turbo did make a valid point in the end of his deleted post. You owe it to clear the air, prove you did no wrong, give up the persons name. Stop being so mysterious. Give the name up. Then we can move on. You won't have to worry about him by answering his question. He might not have been a customer, but I am, you owe it to the customers to clear the air.

Until there is fairly conclusive direct or circumstantial proof, I don't think it's appropriate to publicly name the accused. Axecutioner has made a strong case, but it is up to the moderation team in conjunction with the administrator to determine if that evidence is sufficient to "out" a boardie on this forum, ban him/her, etc.

I don't want real hair, they have potential to go wrong. Have you seen some of the customs out there? Yikes

Yeah, but the artist clearly showed he has true talent and would do a bang up job. Agreed some of the added hair looks atrocious at times from those far less talented.
