The hair gap filled isnt like that at all.. if you see they did a horrible ms paint manipulation job to some hoe show a gap filled. Truth is they are using the old recast and have painted over it to try show all of this...
Plus you can see that ugly seam showing its a recast...
This is just depressing.

About the paint... you will notice them in macro shots like that.. honestly that colour bleed over the lips is hardly noticeable on display unless you take pics of it on macro. However I have asked the artist to ensure that since everyone needs that kind of detail fixed he take more care with it.

It was there in the proto, but just not as apparent.
not really sure what the deal with the complaints are, the finished paint job looks pretty damn similar to the proto. I think customizers need to avoid Joker just to avoid the crazy Joker fanatics..

okay so I just saw who MJ choi pointed out as a recaster on facebook and the said person is actually a hardcore collector. He purchases kato clothes and all that. Furthermore, he's the director of a film which inspire of a line of Enterbay firefighter figures. So I don't know what to think, as Marty would say..."This is heavy"

I don't think it's the same guy though? I don't think someone of that caliber would go all the way to screw someone over. Plus they are both working in the same industry where it's easy to get their work copied.

I had forwarded that eBay link to the artist and he immideately got upset and I guess he straight up accused the person he sent the Heath paint up variation too as till now the only person to receive that one was him. However I believe he had a chat on facebook with the person himself and realised that it was not the same person. All this happened at night for me when I was sleeping so in the morning I had to talk to him. He is extremely upset as this was his first venture into custom work and really didn't expect such a response. I however told him that the reason was the character in mind. The Joker caters to a HUGE HT fan base out there who would like a ready head to bash and don't care about the source or quality that much as long as the price point is low and finish is acceptable somewhat.
I suggested he try to release sculpts which are more niche which PVC recasters won't be interested in so much. However the problem is PVC recasters are getting more and more bold and adept everyday. From botched attempts at recasting the DX Joker with movable eyes they have started making mods like Jor El sculpt to gladiator. So the portrait of any actor from a cult film may be tweaked to fit his look from a mainstream popular one.
All in all its a mess. However I assured him that Bill won't suffer the same fate as PVC recasts of Bill aren't that lucrative as its not that popular a character and nor is the clothing available for people to make a ready bash.

I thought the head has been recasted like over a month ago? Why does this seem to blow up again now?
I think the Bill head would get recasted again, if he should choose to go the same route. If he dont want to get his head recasted, he must sell only to pre approved buyers that are filtered through this site, for example.

Because this new one has the Heath Paint up no makeup look. Its like the recaster is offering every iteration the artist is making. Right now the gap filled sculpts havent shipped, here gap filled has been advertised but they dont have one so they are making a horrible manip via MS Paint if you see in the EBay link. This just makes me more worried as its almost like the main recasting factory is buying sculpts via different suppliers posing as customers.
