I'll share my story but I'm probably talking to myself since it seems no one else comes in this thread. This whole thing was a sick coincidence and an awesome surprise. Long story short, I've known about the movie for a long time and it's been on my watch list for a while; I'm very familiar with Sam because of collectibles, imagery, etc. Me and my girl finally got around to seeing Krampus in Nov., and really enjoyed it. That bumped Trick r' Treat to the top of the must watch list, and every other day throughout Dec. into Jan. I'd search for it On Demand and Netflix, and it was never available. Finally I just grabbed the Blu Ray and we fell in love with it. Went on a tear and watched it a few times, special features, commentaries, etc.
I've been out of tune with the forum and sorta the hobby in general for a few months at this point. On the 26th, I log on to Rainman's site just to see what's been up, and BOOM! There's Sam going up for order later on that night! I start researching around the forum to see if there were other options, and I discovered that Caine's offering (which also looks good as hell) came and went in my time away. Luckily RM's didn't fly in a blink, so I had a few days to mull it over. Of course my girl, the enabler, who's love drunk on Sam, gave me the extra push to jump aboard.
