To my knowledge, badge was actually never shown in the film. Since their is no "definitive" badge, I personally vote for the 1st picture.

I've been searching for some time and have yet to find anything online. I'm not certain if the "shield" is ever shown. He displays the card "badge" in a couple of scenes, but the shield is not shown in those... It looks like it's there, just under the fold in the leather. There's some bulk to it, but I haven't found a screenshot or anything which shows it. I'll keep looking!
