Re: [Scaletta] Heimdall !SECOND RUN!

Wait for the manual, bro:) I'm in New York right now, business trip, but I'll upload it once I'm back it'll be easier to assemble step by step)))

I wish I would have known there was going to be a manual. It's been a lot of trial and error. 5 1/2 hours in, I've got everything done except the hands boots and head. I need a neck and to figure out how I'm going to attach the boots to this particular body.

Re: [Scaletta] Heimdall !SECOND RUN!

Arrived today but I'm going to send it out to have it put together. If you guys can offer assembling as a service in the future that would be great.

mine hasn't arrived yet. I am curious what makes it so difficult to assemble. Could you take a pic of all the parts? I thought it would be fairly straight forward with pants/clothing suit to put on with a zipper or snaps in the back and then the armor.

The body is going to be key. If it is a little too big, nothing is going to fit right.

I had a difficult time figuring out the order of assembly. I would put something on, then realize something should have gone underneath that item. Something as simple as putting on the wide "belt" needs some thought. You would think that you just slip it over the leather. Try doing that and you'll probably gouge the leather. I put the belt on the nude abdomen then slid the leather underneath.

Getting the armor all tied together is a bit of a trial. You'll see. This is a real puzzle. I kept looking at the pictures and still had a hard time figuring out how this all went together.

I still don't know how to get the head into the helmet without scratching off paint. It's not like you can flex any of these parts. THEY ARE THICK! The helmet weighs 5 ounces by itself. Bending any of these parts would probably cause them to snap.

I'm currently waiting on a neck and I have to modify the feet to fit the boot setup and I'm done. What I have looks great.

Rjszar what a challenger are you, all by yourself no manual needed true ninja lol

Re: [Scaletta] Heimdall !SECOND RUN!

Got mine today looks amazing. The head has a could minor paint scuffs ;(

Everything else looks awesome just awaiting the manual to put this beast together

Re: [Scaletta] Heimdall !SECOND RUN!

Got my neck in today. Could someone please tell me how to put the helmet on without destroying the paint job on the head. I don't mind a little touch up, but this is ridiculous. I doubt the manual is going to help me with this part.

Re: [Scaletta] Heimdall !SECOND RUN!

So, I thought I'd try heating the helmet with a blow torch to soften it up. :gah:

looks awesome. Yeah the headsculpt is weird. I need to touch mine up as it had a couple small scuffs. But its easy to see it will not fit inside the helmet. Not with that back ring of the headsculpt.

Curious to see how the instructions explain to get the head inside the helmet.

oh **** man!! Hopefully Woodrob can hook you up with another helmet. I honestly don't see how it is possible to get the helmet on the head unless you cut that loop piece.

Then I guess you could just glue his face to a inner neck plug from a normal headsculpt:dunno

:lol I was just having some fun. The helmet is fine. I'm thinking about cutting off just a small portion of the ring in back. It should give it some flex. It will still stay on the plug as long as I don't go more than half way. Any articulation in the head and neck area are wasted because of the helmet and armor, so once in that's about it.

Re: [Scaletta] Heimdall !SECOND RUN!

Rjszar, did you use an Art Figures body? If you did how did you get the boots on?

Yes, I most certainly did use an Art Figures body. I assume you are asking that question because you have an Art Figures body and it has feet that do not pop off like a normal Hot Toys body. When you got your boots, you found that you couldn't put the feet of your Art Figures body into the boots because they just have a tiny little hole that would probably be the perfect size for a Hot Toys style leg with the foot removed. BUT.....as an Art Figures body was the recommended body, my boots sit on the table next to the helmet I haven't put on.

Sorry, just needed to unload a little sarcasm.

I'm just going to whack off the feet. It's not like you're going to have any articulation in the feet anyway. I'm also going to notch out the ring on the head so it fits in the helmet. I just put it aside for a bit to finish an X-Men Origins Gambit I've been working on for awhile.

Re: [Scaletta] Heimdall !SECOND RUN!

I think we need Woodrob to make a youtube video of the assembly for this beast!

Re: [Scaletta] Heimdall !SECOND RUN!

I had gotten the ACI Bruce body because it is built more like Elba, but from the sound of it it might be too big for the outfit. I'll pick up a regular AA knockoff and Worldbox and let the customizer figure out which will work best. It would definitely be good to offer assembly service. It'll probably be another 2-3 months before I get this one back assembled.
