Re: Shaun Of The Dead by Chu (BBKILL) **Cricket Bat Pics**

Thanks guys :)

It wont be cheap due to the high amount of work involved but there will be breaks between items being offered so your wallet can recover so we can all build an ultimate SOTD figure bit by bit.

Excellent, a bit of a financial breather will probably be quite welcome after Christmas! Can't not have that cricket bact though, it's a work of art.

What body should we all be trying to obtain to make a Shaun?

Re: Shaun Of The Dead by Chu (BBKILL) **Cricket Bat Pics**

Hey pete you can do what I do and just buy Tamiya 2mm plastic beams and cut the buttons down and then glue them on. I don't think people will go ape if their not sewn on this way they don't need to worry about finding a needle and thread if one comes undone. I think kato does that with some of his mock buttons.

Re: Shaun Of The Dead by Chu (BBKILL) **CRICKET BAT ORDER DETAILS ADDED**

So I now have the price from full metal and please keep in mind there is a lot of work involved so this is the majority of the costs.

Re: Shaun Of The Dead by Chu (BBKILL) **CRICKET BAT ORDER DETAILS ADDED**

$110 is good with me actually slightly less than I was expecting :)

Re: Shaun Of The Dead by Chu (BBKILL) **CRICKET BAT ORDER DETAILS ADDED**

I've just paypal'd the funds for the bat, as instructed. I'm not really an accessories kind of collector, but the detail is too insane and the item to central to the character to miss out!

Thanks for the update!!

Tbh for the work involved it’s a bargain.
Its less than a 1:1 tailor made bad and was probably 3 times as hard to make :lol

Re: Shaun Of The Dead by Chu (BBKILL) **CRICKET BAT ORDER DETAILS ADDED**

Trying hard to resist everything.... For sure in for an unpainted sculpt though. Amazing work all around so far fellas! :lecture

Re: Shaun Of The Dead by Chu (BBKILL) **CRICKET BAT ORDER DETAILS ADDED**

Now this bat is not just made from one piece of wood. He searched the internet on how to make a cricket bat. He had to glue two pieces together, just like the real bats. This takes the majority of his time. Then he has to silkscreen the logo, lacquer it, and finally add the batting tape or cushion. Yeah, he could have made it cheaper by using only one piece of wood...but why? Don't we strive for realism in the 1/6 world?

Thank you Dubby, marlindesign, abarbarian and tighfighter for the payment for the bat! You will not be disappointed with the bat! Dubby and marlindesign your bats are on the way, as I have given you the postal codes. abarbarian and tighfighter, he is finishing up the bat as we speak. If he can, he will mail it out today, if not the latest is on Monday. Thank you very much from Jon and I!

He tried to make it the cheapest he could so collectors such as yourselves could collect them at an affordable price. Mind you, $110 is not AFFORDABLE to most people, but he did the best job he could. I am sure that everyone who ordered the bat will be amazed at the quality of Jon's work.

May everyone here have Happy Holidays!

Give in and buy the full set. You will regret it when you see the finished figures :lol

Love how it's made the just like a 1:1 bat! Amazing work!

Tbh when Dave sent me pictures of the finished bat apart from the one where the figure is holding it I thought he sent back the reference pics by mistake :horror
