Good stuff sparks! We're getting close to a perfect shot now.

I think that other thing-a-ma-jig may be a button or brass stud like you said. We can see it in toylion's prop pic and there it seems like a button but it looks different in these screen caps.

It actually looks like more of a flap than a stitching. I hope Teddy logs on soon and see this so he tells the seamstress to change it a bit.

It's definitely a flap but I can't tell how deep it is. I'm not sure if you'd be able to put your whole hand in like a pocket or it's just the edge that’s mini flap and the top stitch is actually attached to the jacket

All these shots! Time to watch rocky again.

:lol Hell yea. I've watched it twice since this project got announced and I woke up this morning to find pt. 2 playing at 8:00. Awesome way to start my Sunday! :lol I'M PUMPPED!!!!

The rb6 tweed hat has the brass stud/button on it aswell:)

The contender hat not sure but rocky's had it so you gotta have it:lecture:)

Yea that def looks like a brass stud behind at the rear of the feather there also appears to be a brass pin in that most recent pic obviously how the feather is attached. Would be cool of you could sculpt the pin on there Johnny

Barons reproduction has a flap.

"Prior to the start of production on this last Rocky film, Stallone, a long time friend and client of Baron Hats sent Master Hatter, Mark Mejia, the original tattered Dark Navy Blue stingy brim fedora that he'd worn in the 5 previous Rocky movies.

With this as his starting point, he asked Mark to create a new version of the hat in the same memorable style but with a look and feel befitting his character's lifestyle as the retired champ.

After a number of prototypes were created (everyone knows Mr. Stallone is very exacting), the two men decided upon a herringbone weave from a mill in Cheshire, England... and the new hat was born."

Nice find and an interesting read :hi5:

Thanks for the new pics, they are indeed helpful, I think I can work with these already.

As for the pin, any pics of it ? as I don't even understand how it's positioned. Also depends on the difficulty, a pin would be difficult to sculpt and get it cast.

Here's a closer shot of the pin on the tweed hat.

Think it might look better to use a real feather/pin.
Was thinking of making one for mine but lost interest as my hat was the wrong type with bow and larger rim

Not sure but have a feeling rocky might have been a bit of a fisherman/angler and the feather was a fishing lure?

I think that that's the last thing Johnny wants to hear :lol. The idea sounds awesome but I think real as opposed to sculpted will be insanely difficult

Here's a better shot of the feather and maybe brass stud?

"sparkton's jacket has the right idea"

Yeah the shoulders on mine are nice, shame the arms are too long and the jacket is a bit short.:slap

You get a good look at the brass pin in this one. I'm down for you giving real feathers a go Johnny that will looks awesome!

It looks like the pin is attached to the feather and is either pinned to the hat underneath the black loop or is simply placed through the loop which holds it in place

You are not talking about the brass stud/button right ? but the thing that shows opposite the black loop ? the thing that looks like copper wiring or sorts ? If so, I really can't figure out the shape man :S

Nah man not the stud to the rear of the feathers I'm talking bout the brass pin on the otherside looks like a brass needle with a mount at the top which the feathers are attached too
