Does anyone know how to get the glasses to stay on his head? They always fall off of mine.

I haven't tried it yet but I know some of the guys that got the original full figure were using a tiny piece of douuble sided tape

So a little update on the Katana. I've been asking around and I'm starting to get good responses. I met a couple of guys at Fancom that may be the guys that we're looking for (I got your PMs fellas :wave. Sorry I'm slow on the responses but I just got back today after being gone for a week so I'm playing catch up with real life. I'm not ignoring you just need a couple days to give you my full attention :wink1:)

So all that said, once I go over details with the interested parties, I'll have more to share ladies & gents :)

PCK any updates on the Katana? Thanks!

So sorry for the slow response mao and sorry to the rest of the interested freaks!!! I never forgot about this but my attention has been turned in so many different directions. I'm getting back on track with this and I'm in talks with a couple of capable dudes; I know that price is an issue for most of us so I'm trying to find someone who can offer this at the most reasonable price and still deliver a quality piece.

The idea is, of course, still real metal for the blade and resin for the handle and scabbard. I'm not sure if the hilt will end up being metal or resin.

Denny (Iminime) is one of the people who I ran this by. As some surely know they have created swords already as well as other real metal accessories. Denny unfortunately had to regrettably decline because he doesn't want to touch anything that falls under the WB umbrella.

Either way I just wanted to let you guys know that I'm in talks with 4 different parties that are able to handle this. Bear with me a little longer and I should have some answers for us :)

For now, here's some reference pics that I'm showing around. They may seem redundant but I want whoever is taking this on to get a good sense of the length of the blade as well as the handle. Also to get the details of the handle and hilt. I'm working on better pics of the sheath

Thanks for the update PCK. I know this is going to end up as movie accurate as possbile.

for just the sword?...i wouldn't go over 30...maybe even lower...i know you are a master at your craft Robbie...but the price shouldn't be too high on this...tops maybe 40-45

What is the price people want to pay? Quantity?

Aaaaahhhh!!!! Fancy meeting you here! The man chimes in!!! :yess:

I pretty positive that these two opinions aren't the common consensus Robbie. Most people interested in this know that it'll be a hell of a lot more than that for a real metal blade and sculpted handle & sheath.

The parties I was talking to were coming in around the $175 range but I knew that this would be expensive for most so I continued to search for someone who can make this happen for a bit less.

I don't want to say a specific price because I'm not able to speak for everyone. There's 20+ on the interest list right now and I'm sure that could grow if things line up right. Respectively, the higher the price goes, the smaller that list would get. I think at the $175 mark the list would probably shrink down to maybe 6-7 peeps tops. But $30-$50 bucks is VERY unrealistic for someone to pull off by making these from scratch.

Again I don't want to speak for anyone but I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume that the interest list would stay pretty solid and likely grow if these ended up in the $90-$125 range.

hmmm...the original swords were also made from "scratch"...well the hilt was...and the price was nowhere near what some people are asking now...i get it...people want to have this particular bash of the best parts....but at some point...you have to feel like you are being taken advantage of considering this custom figure was just offered a little bit over 2 years ago...the clothing for morpheus i could muster...even the headsculpt that i didn't need was at the same price...but i just can't bite that last bullet for the sword if its at or up to 200 dollars!!!....the items keeping getting smaller and smaller and you have to keep paying higher and higher!!!!

I think I could do a stainless blade, wooden scabbard, wrapped handle, and brass tsuba for $125. I got a new saw that Im dying to try.

And we're dying to see what you can do with it!

I think that price range is fair and what most people were expecting.

My only questions are about the handle wrap and a wood scabbard. Would you be able to capture the same detail wrapping the handle as opposed to sculpting it? Same type of question for the sheath. Is wood a better option than resin? I have Captain HH's real metal cane sword for Ra's and I feel that Iminime was able to achieve crisper details with theirs which was casted in soft plastic. You're the boss.... I'm just asking :lol

So if you're interested in taking this on, do you want to start your own interest thread and I'll link it here to the first post or should I edit the title and convert the list?
