Anyone have hands-on exprience in weathering synthetic leather? I'm hoping to get the worn-in look of the movie boots - folds, staining, etc.

UPDATE from Striped Box:

They have decided to change the material to genuine leather rather than synthetic. Also, the soles are going to be 3d printed and cast in resin for more accuracy. Striped Box is "still waiting for 3D-model of scanned figure's foot, I will get it only on September 5 or 6. 3D model of the foot will help me to define the right size and shape of shoes' lasts (then the lasts will be printed and after that I finally will be able to make first pair of boots). I'm very sorry again for delaying. Don't now how long it will take to print the lasts, hope to get them by September 15."

Please be patient. These boots are going to be made to perfection. Thanks for your understanding.

The real leather change is great! I don't know about the resin sole. Is there any way the could "wear" them a bit - especially the bridge area before they're applied to the sole? Probably won't be possible to bend them afterward if it's resin?
