From what I remember seeing, the rear and inside perpendicular panels have to be fused to each other and the floor (and top) and be strong enough to hold the structure in order for it to not lean forward for the door to be able to swing open as there is no other weight supporting beam in the front. To get his to work you have to use proper acrylic solvent to achieve this. I tried many types of glues in my early days without much luck but maybe others can shine in.
We all might as well support each other in this DIY project and maybe Pat can even shine in to make this work.
For you guys in US you can order Weldon through amazon (no such luck for us here up north ). Look for something in a tube and less fluid for easier handling that will work with acrylic. For the plastic parts there is something similar but can't remember what it's called. It will also create a stronger fused joint being a better option for the pieces where it broke of the hinge and left behind only those small little half circles

Using some Tenax-7R I picked a long time ago on the silver plastic pieces and seems to do the job so far. Worked on acrylic too
