Hey gang,
As Warriors Gate Productions looks ahead six months to 2012 a lot of the 1:6 lines we are making will be wrapped up by then like Supernatural, Batman Returns, etc, and we are looking for other shows we would like to expand to.

I grew up a big fan of Robotech, but particularly New Generation (Mospeada). I was wondering if there was enough interest in it out there for us to do some figures/vehicles from it?

We're still working things out and that's why we wanted to talk to everyone on here to see what people are interested in. I would like to start with Rand in his normal street clothes with goggles and a gun, and do Scott Bernard in his riding armor, with gun, helmet with movable visor.

And once we have the basic riding armor down, that opens up it being used for the other characters as well if you preferred.

If there is enough passion in this line from the forums we can even work to make Cyclone motorcycles (non-transformable) for them.

I think a Scott Bernard on his bike would ROCK!

We could also make the Cyclone power armor as well, but I figure baby steps, right?
-Rick :)

(INTEREST LIST)
1)Steve74 (both Rand and Scott)
2)Broadshore (Armor Ride suit and bike)
3)Mike Rich (Scot Bernard ride suit)
4)mnfatz
5)Hollowpoint
6)Diesaturn
7)olbertfrog (Scott Bernard ride suit)
8)Lordazreal
9)Kozin

YES PLEASE!!! Rand was always my favorite character from the show. I'm in for pretty much anything you can do with this line. So for Scott...Yes! and for Rand...Hell Yes!!!

If you did these would they be like the cartoon or more real world?

Good question!

I have some 1:6 "Dirty Pair" figures from the late eighties. And as a novelty item and because I loved the amine I was glad to have them, but while "on model" they were way too cartoony for my tastes and I always wished they made them off of some of their more realistic then cartoony character designs.

I kind of feel that way about this too. I don't want to betray the original show, but straight anime heads directly from the actual show would look way cartoonish if translated directly, so I myself would actually prefer either doing more tightened up anime character designs for them, or maybe actually try a realistic take which intrigues me since it was a dark show and I'd like the clothes to be a little gritty too and not look so clean.

What do you guys think and how do you feel?

I would like to see a more "real world" look to these, plus it might you a little bit more freedom as far as copyright or whatever (I don't know much about that). I always thought the Invid saga was much darker so I too would like to see them done in a more grittier way. Plus I would also like them to match the other figures in my collection. But it's Robotech being done in 1/6 scale so I'm good with whatever, I just hope it gets done.

Interested by Scott in riding armor.
I'm in for the Real world look.
Let me know if you need references, i have the toynami fig (wich has nice proportions) wich comes with a great instruction manual including nice diagrams and also have the artbook with model sheets.

That would be sweet! Thank you. I'll PM you my E-mail addy.

I'd be interested in the riding armor and possibly the bike (I know it could be pricy). It'd be nice to have the armor so that it could be put on any figure rather than a Scott Bernard figure.
