It's pretty clear from the side on and front on views that the hair is too poofy. It's almost like they modelled it on pictures of Travolta as Tony Manero. It definitely needs a few millimetres taken off the top and back. Notice how there is an almost diagonal slope at the back of Vince's head in the screen shot of the car scene - whereas the head sculpt is very rounded all the way down to the end of his hair.
Comparing the shot of Vince and Jules in the elevator, and the shot of the proto, it's clear that the way that the hair has been styled is greatly taking away from the sculpt's lifelike quality. It shouldn't be so bunched up at the back; there should be more locks of hair curling in the shoulder region and around his neck. This may be difficult to achieve, but I'd be fully willing to sacrifice some neck mobility for a more natural, film accurate hairstyle.
Having a necked sculpt would add significantly to the quality of the figure too. The unpainted WIP shots of the sculpt, even with a rudimentary, untextured neck, have a much better look to them than the un necked sculpts shown in the new proto images. Vince's shirt collar should be very snug around his neck, too. The different colours of the body and head are very distracting, and can probably only be feasibly solved by making the sculpt necked.
To summarise my thoughts: shave a good few millimetres off the back of his head, restyle his hair so it curls around his shoulders more and doesn't bunch at the back, and add the neck to remove the disparity between the mismatching neck size and colour to the sculpt.
