Re: Dr. Lecter Gurney

Look at the man go! Do werk!! :clap

That looks killer dude. I can see the end product already and you're raising the appeal of the fig big time with this piece.

If you don't mind me pointing a couple of things out, it's slightly short and the platform that he stands on should be bigger too. Check out the pics on p.1. The top of the rails are slightly taller than he is. Judging by your pics (top at eye level) and measuring the sculpt, I think it could be 3/4"-1" taller. Also the platform is long enough for his feet to fit on.

If you caught or know this already, ignore me :lol

Thank you, I am so happy you are still building this item. One of my all time favorite movies and it will soon be complete!

Re: Dr. Lecter Gurney

The platform he stands on is actually that small with a plate over the top. So that's what I'm building

Ahhh, got ya. I started typing this and walked away for almost half an hour, came back and finished :lol. Your second set of pics wasn't there when I started the post. It looks a little taller there than the straight on shot in the first set of pics. Camera angle tricked me :)

Read your post in a hurry and missed the height part. Your correct that its a touch too short. When I attached the part he stands on, I didn't leave a space between it and the bottom of the tubes like I had drafted. Moving it will help, but also shows how out of proportion this figure is. I made the dolly height 12" and even though his legs are spread, he's still too tall. Hopkins is 5'9". I'm assuming only buyers are using it for ininime figure. Anyone with an accurate fig will have a really tall hand truck. :dunno

Re: Dr. Lecter Gurney

I can't wrap my brain around how quickly you bang these things out and how GOOD they look.

Backpacks, briefcases, gurneys. . . :google

I'll be honest, I bought a briefcase just because of how awesome it looked. And I don't even HAVE any Pulp Fiction figures.:lol

Re: Dr. Lecter Gurney

Looking great so far! I guess I need to locate a Lector figure haha.

Re: Dr. Lecter Gurney

Almost wrapped up boys.

SwedishHeat- to answer your question about turn around. I teach and so in theory I have summers off. But this summer has been the first that has really allowed me to not work, so I work on these things. I have being assembling the gurney/restraint since Monday. About eight hours a day, puts this at 24 ish hours invested. Also my girlfriend broke her ankle real bad so I have had a lot of me time.
