Gauging interest for a Bucky Barnes - CA: The First Avenger 1/6 headsculpt by Waruna

I can't wait for this guys! *___* As I said before, I don't care which facial expression it is in the end coz I'm just glad he gets made. *_* I'm sure Waruna will do a great work.

Now, can anyone recommend someone who I could pay to paint this? I've done some garage kits but only anime and they weren't realistic so I feel it ruin him if I were to paint Buck myself. :/

On another note, why has no one ever done skinny Stevie?!! I always thought it was coz there were no skinny bodies available but there are so ... can we please get skinny Stevie too? ♡ He needs more love and I need him in my collection! Is anyone else interested? Of course I wouldn't mind pre-war Bucky to go with him ... holy, I wish I could sculpt.

Edit: I really prefer the first or second expression. No. 3 is so grim. There's already the Winter Soldier for that look. Reading through it seems to be even between No. 2 and No. 3. KittyCap said No. 1 which is closer to No. 2 by far.

I don't know actually!! I'm not sure I would want a skinny Steve, personally, but I can see the appeal

Hello people, hope u all doing good. First of all i must thank Kiki for getting this great idea to me. And the people who jumped in for the project. Guys i feel you all have so much love for him. So which expression has the most number of votes. Im doing my home work to start the sculpt in October first week. To complete the sculpt i would take a 2 to 3 weeks to get the best likeness possible. And for the body i think TTM 19 muscular will match our guy here. I will post WIPs as i mostly go with your ideas for alterations.

Just ordered myself the Rescue Cap from Ebay so no Howling Commandos Buck for me. He's gonna get his Azzano outfit and look awesome next to Stevie. :3

That's the thing, it really limits the character to the Howling Commandos look. This is always an issue with any head with a very strong expression. The WWII dress uniform is the easiest one to pick up and he didn't go around scowling in that.

What makes Bucky special is that he was Steve's friend, not just some one of the many Howling Commandos. The first two expressions are reflective of who Bucky was before he got turned into the Winter Soldier.

Also, as far as him looking handsome, a smile is what wins you over.

That's precisely why I would have preferred the second expression over the 3rd. However, while I'd love as smiling Bucky I guess he'd be difficult to display with others. I mean, if you have him in his own it's fine but I reckon most will either display him with Rescue Cap or Golden Age Cap and Steve’s expression for both doesn't fit a smiling Bucky imo.

As much as I hate to say it but maybe we could find a less stern expression so it could fit pre-war Buck as well as Azzano and HC Bucky?

Maybe this one? It's not as focused and 'on the hunt' as the other.

Yeah, I like it too. It can work for HC Buck as well as Rescued Buck and I bet it also looks good for pre-war uniform Buck.

I know we all want something different from the generic expressions but that makes it so much harder to please everyone. And we're only a few! In the end I'd go with the more neutral expression so everyone here could use it for the look they wanna get this Bucky in.

You're being very intense, Star Puffs And I mean that in the nicest possible way. Look, I get it, I totally do, I wouldn't have started this interest thread if I didn't love Bucky as much as I do. If I could make a sculpt for each expression, I would, but I can't. In terms of the expression, no. 3 has the most votes, that's why I was stating that it was looking like that one was going to be made. I'll talk to Waruna about the expression.

I like the expression that was chosen. Obviously not everyone is going to be happy but I think the majority of us picked the best one. Sure it's more suited for Howling Commandos Bucky but it also suits his Azzano look and a lot of us are going with either of those. I do think you could use it for Uniform Bucky too :dunno

2 preferred the 2nd and 1 voted for the 1st. Seriously, that's way too close to just go "the majority voted no. 3 so lets just do this". :/ I'd really like a bit more thought on this. If more people want the 3rd then I'm fine with it, as I said, I'm happy he gets made at all. But right now many haven't even stated their opinion so why not hear what the others think? ^.^

I just said majority of those who voted. I also spoke to Kiki about doing another poll or vote on expression. The sculpt won't be started for a while so I'm told so there is still time for us to choose a preferred sculpt

Honestly guys, I don't even want drama in this at all. We all want the sculpt made, so if everyone's fine with a neutral expression we'll go for that. I don't want it made if some people are going to complain and not be happy - this could be our only sculpt of TFA Bucky, so I want everyone at least content with it, not forever seeing their figure and thinking "God I wish we'd had another expression." I just can't deal with that.

But, just for the record, 1 person liked expression No. 1, 2 for No. 2 (3 including someone who voted for multiples), and 6 for No. 3 (8 including people who voted for multiples). So it wasn't just 3 people voting for No. 3 versus 2 people voting for No. 2. I kept a tally of everyone who voted, and what they voted for. I just want that on the record.

Now that I've stated that, can we agree for the neutral expression and consider this matter settled? I don't want drama about expressions to overshadow the excitement of the process of getting this made.

I am interested, but as other have said I need the HC outfit too. I would also be interested in your weapon pack Brainiac, provided the outfit gets off the ground. Basically I need to see all components (head/outfit/weapons) happening before I would commit to paying for any single component.

The neutral expression TräshCät found is basically expression 3, just without the forehead wrinkles. Hopefully that's enough of a compromise? I know it's just a few of us that wanted the smiling face (though for some reason I thought it was more! Maybe we were just louder :lol) but is anyone on Team Intense really set on having forehead wrinkles?

Edit: For what it's worth, here's the most neutral uniform Bucky expression I could find and a screencap of the rescue sequence where I think the compromise sculpt would work really well.

Seriously, I didn't mean to cause any ruckus. I just didn't see any public voting here, there were only a few people who commented on which expression they liked best and to me that didn’t seem like a majority coz not everyone was vocal so there were voices missing. But honestly, just coz we discuss which expression we like best and name our reasons for and against doesn't mean it's drama. ^.^ We're all paying good money for this so I think it should be more of a "we're in this together" and everyone's opinion should be heard. It's not like Waruna will start sculpting tomorrow. ^.^

You think a tad bit less focused and stern expression would be that bad? As Billion said, it's basically the same expression as the one in the freight car but with a tiny bit less ( •̀_•́)
