Peggy Carter Project
Project cancelled as of 30 December 2012. :monkey2
So I finally finished my own figure and there is simply no way I could mass produce this outfit. The sharp points and other details requiring tedious hand-sewing made this the most difficult and time-consumming thing I have ever sewn. And it still far from satisfying me in several areas.
I apologise to everyone who was interested in this figure. I really underestimated how complex her jacket would be. Hopefully the WAAC outfit from 21st Century will suffice for most people.
Anyway I hope people at least enjoy seeing the completed custom.
Headsculpt
Available now!
Sculpted by Snyderman's wife, Joy.
Contact Snyderman if you just want an unpainted headsculpt.
Price of the head will be $50 plus shipping.
I will unveil the outfit and painting details ASAP.
Painting a head will be $25-30.
Painting a Triad body (neck, hands, legs) will be $15.
Clothing will cost approximately $150 (still TBD).
Clothing
As of 29 July 2012:
Done with design/fabric for shirt, tie, shoes, skirt. Still working on jacket and hose.
The outfit will more or less be available as many people who want it (not just 5 as originally stated). At some point, however, it will depend on certain buttons and shoes being available, but I think 18 outfits is a safe limit for now. Loss of my button or shoe source would not halt production, but a solution would take extra work, which would raise the price.
Outfit will fit Triad Alpha Medium, either Caucasian (peachy) or Asian (very pale) skin tones, or EVA bodies. I am going to use an EVA myself, since the lower legs are a lot more accurate. The awful Triad knee will be covered by the 1940's hemline, so that solves a major issue. Triad bodies are hard plastic and will not deteriorate.
This will be the look:
Advice for a tight budget option: While I would prefer people buy my outfit, I appreciate the budget realities of this hobby. Although not film accurate, there are at least two 1:6 scale WWII women's figures out there with period-accurate officer's uniforms. Both sell for under $50 usually. One is by Ultimate Soldier/21st Century (I have one so PM me is you are interested) and other is by Eleanor's Girls Series.
