The hair costing more is a given, i however don't hate sculpted hair, i prefer Eric's Kate.b sculpt with the sculpted hair for example.

Yes it really depends on the way it is done and a few other factors such as the expression.

I have 3 Jokers with rooted hair and 2 with sculpted, and honestly, I could go either way on this one...If the sculpted hair looks as good as I think it will, I'll probably stick with it.
