Yeah, the only area that would probably be exposed is on the arms around the elbow. You'll still see those joints even on the muscular bodies anyways. His shirt collar would be closed up a bit so it'll hide the neck joint on the body.

Of course. He'll be a fully complete figure. Jen and I have been looking into getting some custom boxes too so he'll be in a box and fully done and we'll do certificates for everyone on the list also.

I'm pretty relaxed on the payments and all we really need to do is figure out which body we want to go with and buy them. Some bodies sell out faster than others from what I have seen and we should probably secure that end of it. I have to sculpt the hands, feet, sabers and armors after I finish the head so he'll probably be about another month or two out so everyone has some time.

Oh man, that is just too amazing. I can't thank you enough for doing this project. Now I'm super hyped, especially for a custom box! :D as for time, take as much as you need. Personally I'm gathering as much money as I can which will take quite a while. I believe darthkostis said he was saving up as well.

No worries buddy. I'm pretty flexible on payments as you know. We just need enough to secure the parts that I can't make myself and it'll be some time. I'll start working on roughing out the head this weekend and I have enough photos of the head for reference.

As soon as I get enough (maybe after my birthday, I'm sure I'll get money then) I'll put down my deposit/start up fee (I believe you said my costs counted together) and we can get this project up and running! :D

Aww man, I hope you change your mind and offer the sculpt.
There's a few of us who already have a bash of starkiller and only need an upgraded head.

Well, i really have to gather some cash. Like, a lot of cash. Anyway though, a full figure is the way to go since it's easier than hunting down for parts and turns out a lot better.

You and I are in the same boat friend. It will be worth it in the end though. I'm so hyped for a sick a$$ Starkiller figure :yess:

I Hope u decide to offer this as a kit like u originally offered cause at 485$ as a full figure Im 100% out! This is a character that i want but i dont want him 485$ bad i would pass even if it was 385$

So i guess u can take me off the list:(

I'm out too. I can't afford starkiller at that price. I like him but not as much as, say, Elizabeth or kratos. I'm sorry.

Wow $485 is a lot of cash, I'm not saying I'm out but that's a car payment. How much of a deposit are we talking about? Is there a payment plan? How long of a built time our we talking so I could start to budget and save up that kinda of coin. Sorry for all the questions don't want to be a killjoy, would like to see this on my shelve.

John is a real nice guy and can be very flexible with payment. If you message him, I'm sure he will work something out that works best for you! As for build time, I think he said it would be finished by August.

Not sure I'll be able to do $485 for a full figure, I really want a Starkiller but I want Elizabeth more and can't afford both :(

I'm pretty flexible on payments. All we really need is to get the bodies first so they don't sell out. I plan to order it on Sideshow and they're $49.99 each and shipping is probably about $6-7 for each figure. I would collect $100 as a deposit from everyone to buy the body, the fabrics, the leather and any other bits we might need.

He's not an easy figure and I think you guys already know that. His harness has 16 parts that are sculpted bits like buckles and knobs, there are 12 parts to the leather straps itself; all of which has to be cut out, and glued one by one. He also has 4 small pouches on the belt and one large pouch on the leg; again, all of which are handmade leather parts. The leg and arm wraps are also wrapped individually and then weathered on the figure itself.

I've already started sculpting the head so hopefully I'll have something to show.

One thing I noticed on Cleveland_Brown's original post is that the hilts will be included and painted, but it DOES NOT include the cathode lights and assembly. I know nothing about working with electrical and lighting and the hilts are made ready for you to insert the lights. Katkuru made some really nice lights and they average about $60 or so for each one I believe. I will definitely try my hand at making one when I get a chance, but I don't feel confident enough to do it and add even more to the cost.

If anyone wants parts, we can work something out later on. I just can't imagine anyone using other parts and trying to build a Starkiller. From what I am seeing, he is practically 100% custom made. Other than the body, everything is made from the ground up so it is a lot of work, but it's a character I rather enjoy.

it's a ton of work, there's no doubt about that. But once it's done, it will be an absolutely incredible piece, and it will most definitely be my favorite figure on the shelf. I'm looking forward to seeing all the WIPs of the outfit later on down the line John! As well as the sculpt. Also, I'll make it more specific about that cathode hilts in my first post :D

All say it again cause all i do is try to spread the star wars love around here and its not easy.

Please make this in Kit forum or make to available in kit forum!
