That photoshop paint up is bad ***! The sculpt is of course too, congratz Ankit you've done a great job organising this and your choice of artist (whoever they may be) have certainly delivered.

beautiful headsculpt.

Re: 1:6 Heath Ledger as The Joker Painted Headsculpt (Updated with New Pics on 1st Po

Could you photoshop the eyes looking forward, neo?

That looks like ledger, but it seems like a gentle and softer kind of joker. Doesn't look aggressive like he's supposed to.

Shopped it so that it's looking forward. Big thumbs up to Neo for the shop paint work, looks like the real deal.

Hm, thumbs up to Neo for mock up. It looks really good, like paint. As far as likeness goes? I'm not floored tbh. Something is going on around the eyes, I think? I dunno. We'll see when the proto is done.

yeah, I agree. I think its the brow area which has been pointed out a few posts back.

Re: 1:6 Heath Ledger as The Joker Painted Headsculpt (Updated with New Pics on 1st Po

Ok Id just like to keep you guys informed on certain things.

The sculpt is pretty much done. The artist has seen all your suggestions and regarding some he/she has this to say. Firstly about the pronounced brow lines, they are there as a painting device as well as to ensure the final cast has some lines as Ledger has it, though they might be less pronounced. When a sculptor is both a painter and sculptor they prepare projects with a certain idea. A sculpt is prepared not just as a standalone but as a complementing part of a whole idea. There are numerous exampled where you can see a perfect sculpt losing likeness when well painted. Which shouldnt be the case. However sculpt and paint are complementary, so a sculptor has to leave some leeway for a painter to get a final product. I know many may not agree with me, however thats how some plan their approach. So please wait for the complete sculpt - which includes painting.

Regarding partial hairing, as we have said before, the artist will not do anything of the sort because its not viable for such lengthy production runs for one person to do in deadline times while keeping the quality consistent. However as the sculpt is nearing completion we are still seeing if modded sculpts can be produced for those who would like to try hairing on their own. Do keep in mind that modded sculpts will still be painted and will not cost any different from the non modded ones IF they can be produced.

The paint testing will happen soon, and ofcourse in terms of feasibility we will try to sort things accordingly about what different painting options can be done.

Thank You all for your continued faith and support for this.

A heads up:
One of the members on the mainlist seems to have been banned (Rome) therefore 'Barbossa' from the waitlist has been promoted into the mainlist accordingly.
I would like 'Barbossa' to PM me these details
1. Real Name
2. Board Name
3. PayPal ID from which they plan to be sending payment and which has their confirmed shipping address.
4. Country they live in (shipping location)
5. Choice of Paint App (Mob Meeting Scene or Interrogation Scene)

Understandable reason for the frown lines.
At first I also thought of that scenario that they are there for painting purpose.

Good stuff Axe, glad to hear that you guys are still trying on the possibility for partial rooting options :hi5:.

Re: 1:6 Heath Ledger as The Joker Painted Headsculpt (Updated with New Pics on 1st Po

Face looks great, but to be honest I am not 100% sure about the hairline. The hair needs to be thinned out a little (especially on the left side of the face or the right side on the pic)... This is something that is not really noticeable until it is painted but might be somenthing that throws the head a little off. I have had the same issue with BobbyC sculpt in reverse and finally decided to sell it because of that issue.

Re: 1:6 Heath Ledger as The Joker Painted Headsculpt (Updated with New Pics on 1st Po

eyes need to be a little bigger...

Re: 1:6 Heath Ledger as The Joker Painted Headsculpt (Updated with New Pics on 1st Po

There are plenty on the wait list (including myself)… Would it not make sense and be profitable for everybody who wants one can get one? This will also stop the recasting issue later on!!!

Agreed.

30 heads is a lot to cast and paint. Keep in mind this is one person and we're working with the artists schedule. As far as recasting, well they're welcome to it if they possibly want to damage a $350 painted head sculpt.

My objective is to ensure whoever wants one, gets one. Legitimately. So just keep the faith. I will do my best to ensure everyone comes out happy. You just have to trust me.

Its there. Its estimated to be between $300-350. No guarantees though, at least that's how I'm reading it. Fully painted sculpt.
