Ah shame. I was about to positive rep ya. :lol
Maybe issue a certificate for these. I know it won't stop collectors who doesn't care about recast to get one, but at least it reduces the chance of the seller to sell one and saying it is authentic.
Yeah, the sculptor should sign the painted sculpt in Sharpie across the forehead, to guarantee authenticity.
Honestly nothing can stop that... there will continue to be ghost accounts, unscrouplous members within the community, as well as people who might just be wolves in sheep clothing.
Maximum I can do is ensure whoever wants one painted sculpt legitimately gets one...
Im sure because it has to do with his prices. To buy one you have to pay a crazy amount of money. Only someone who thinks he can make a LOT of money by selling unpainted casts of that sculpt can dare to recast a sculpt of that price range. That price range and huge waiting time ensures pure collectors who dont want to 'share' per se. People who buy for the quality and the extreme exclusivity.Funny how no one has ever casted Adam's Joker's heads, probably because there isn't many around, since he charges a lot for them. Right now there is a Bobby C Joker head resin recast on ebay, unpainted of course.
