Axe answered it a while ago:

About the paint... you will notice them in macro shots like that.. honestly that colour bleed over the lips is hardly noticeable on display unless you take pics of it on macro. However I have asked the artist to ensure that since everyone needs that kind of detail fixed he take more care with it.

mh, sorry, but i can't imagine that this is only noticeable in macro shots. sure in hand with the smaller size, it's not massive like when you're zooming into the picture, but still it's there, still the red paint covers a lot of space above his lips, which i just dislike very much. and how it looks, it's for me very annoying and it's actually not that for what I've paid, when i look at the proto-shots.

i'm aware that these are hand-made, but it still shouldn't differ that much to the proto-shots. i really hope, that i won't receive mine that way. it's a superb likeness when you look at it unpainted. and if you paint it alright, then it brings it out aswell.

just look at the recent work of Dream Works, he painted the sculpt alone. it looks and screams out Heath and the Joker character. and look at his lips, it is zoomed in a lot, but still the area above his lips isn't painted red, and that makes the huge difference.

The first pictures of the painted headsculpt which shows me the phenomenal likeness of this figure. So it's up now to MJ and his painting skills to show the likeness of his work ;)

Yeah I think you are right I mean I would hardly call this a macro shot and it looks like he is wearing lip stick here.

It just looks sloppy IMO, I hope MJ does listen to Ax and take care of this issue.

:exactly:

It should have the same style at least, for instance the paint around the mouth should be the same for each sculpt and not some that have paint over lips and some that don't. Just like the make up around the eyes should be the same shape for each mob version paint job.

Oh man that looks great, so realistic, I like how he painted the eyes looking to the right instead of looking straight. Sort of brings the sculpt to life.

Going by his previous mob painting sculpts, I am now concerned that the make up paint work will also be inaccurate and may have paint over lips to for the interrogation version as well. :(

wow is that the mj choi's head ? wow amazing..great work dreamworks
I wrote in another thread the mj cgoi has the most potential of all joker's heads out there..
here we go..
day & night..

So who knows info on that Dream Works sculpt? I checked the Facebook page and found nothing but extra pics... what's the price and where/when can it be ordered?

The unpainted sculpt looks spot on with the BR Joker body. I'd love to have this on the regular Joker 2.0.

the sculpt is not from dreamwork imao but from mj choi a guy/miss?!? (shhhh is a secret) from korea

Yes, I saw that painting on FB yesterday and thought that it was a new teaser for Joker 3.0 :lol

That expression is spot on to that scene where hes waiting for either of the boat to blow up 'fireworks', and was confused since none of em did.

It seems the best deal is the unpainted version, since it seems MJ might have had too many heads to paint to deal with one by one customized painting orders.

I am interested in buying one of these Sculpts . If they are being sold by any one . I do not want one of the recast.

Some guy posted a pic of it on Facebook and tagged the artist so just posting it here:

Oh and there are some guys like turbo.VS.ozone out there who feel all this artist does is 'copies' of what has been done before like Adam's Joker ans specially he was vocal about Rainman's Bill the Butcher being 'ripped off' by the artist...

For those haters I post this... pretty Original if you ask me
