The guy doesn't reply to emails when u ask him to see painted versions of the sculpt. But he does reply when he wants to be paid. He is quite shady IMO.

Who are you talking bout here? Ankit is doing his best and after discussing personally with the artist myself, I can see why he's having trouble as the artist's massive ego isn't easy to handle with.

Oh yes, I think we don't need to beat around the bush. I wouldn't call him shady, just that he's got a huge ego and basically could use some improvement on his personality and social skills. I called him out and he deleted me from his Facebook. :lol

I've dealt and communicate with a few talented individuals like Trevor, Adam, Lalla to name a few and they are all very humble, down to earth and polite just like how you'd deal with normal people. MJ is a great artist no doubt, but his personality traits could use some improvement IMO. Treating people and especially your customers like they are telemarketers are just unacceptable IMO.

I never bothered to add him to facebook just from the vibe I got from his emails.Someone needs to put him in his place yes this is quite a good sculpt but it is no where near as good as Adams. I mean the fact that Jokes and Bats had to resculpt the scars part of the sculpt, indicates that the sculpt is far from perfect. The eyes are worse though he has Josh Brolin eyes and they are very tiny. I just think the sculpt is a decent alternative to Hot Toys because there is obviously some resemblance to Ledger but a lot of things are obviously off with the likeness to.

If he doesn't respect his customers, I can only imagine what he must think of his colleagues! That explains his copied attempt at Rainmans Bill while trying to promote it as the best DDL likeness....:lol

Although personality wise Lee is wayyy ahead of MJ, I gotta say his head have more detail and realism. Though I think likeness and character wise, Rainman's is slightly better. But never did he promote his to be the best DDL, he's just offering his version to the collectors and I personally see nothing wrong with that. With more competition, that's when each of the artist find the motivation to improve and bring more to the table.

I don't either but trying to get info from MJ is like trying to get blood out of a stone and you are right he does get an A for his effort.

Despite me sugar coating the paint job issues and critiques, he still finds it insulting and as if I had the nerve to doubt it when I asked for pics or if I had questions.

I just don't think that's how you should treat someone - customer or not. But look on the bright side, with this issue I had with him, he might be throwing extra attention with the later batches of paint job and you guys could benefit from it at the end. :lol
