Despite me sugar coating the paint job issues and critiques, he still finds it insulting and as if I had the nerve to doubt it when I asked for pics or if I had questions.

I just don't think that's how you should treat someone - customer or not. But look on the bright side, with this issue I had with him, he might be throwing extra attention with the later batches of paint job and you guys could benefit from it at the end. :lol

Although personality wise Lee is wayyy ahead of MJ, I gotta say his head have more detail and realism. Though I think likeness and character wise, Rainman's is slightly better. But never did he promote his to be the best DDL, he's just offering his version to the collectors and I personally see nothing wrong with that. With more competition, that's when each of the artist find the motivation to improve and bring more to the table.

Yea I still don't see MJ's sculpt as an improvement of the DDL likeness. The nose is off and it looks like the cheeks are swollen or puffy. As far as paint apps go I'm going to have to give the upper hand to Rainmans as well. His V2 paint apps are well ahead of what I've seen from MJ and that was the proto, the final paintups probably will be different judging from the Joker proto and final product paint apps.

Also as far as the promoting it as the best, I was talking about his website paypal or email address being somthing along the lines of "bestsculpts" or somthing like that :lol Pretty arrogant if you ask me but there are no laws against self promotion, so not a big deal.

Now all we need is MJ to do Hanna (Pacino) and Chris (Kilmer), have Iminime team up for the outfits & accessories, and all will be right with the world

Not yet. But Axe told me that he'll take care of me so I'm really grateful at least there's someone to count on.

The did v1 and v2 bill paint technique differ? I can't compare as I have never seen the v1 in hand but yes, the v2 bill Rainman version is prolly his finest masterpiece yet. Do he reminded that not everyone speaks perfect English and last time I visited Korea a 3-4 years ago, none of the road signs have any alphabets they are all written in Korean characters. So this being the artist's first international venture I'm sure he's just trying to find some catchy names so I wouldn't really see it as him claiming that he's directly competing with Rainman or Adam \ Yulli per say just cause he's making the same character they did.

I think he did a Hanna, but the deal is the sculpt you see is a company commission. So its not going to be sold as a custom. Its just him showing his work.

The only thing I'm worried about is the artist getting fed up and just disappearing with our money. I don't think I'm gonna do custom stuff anymore. This project seemed very well organized at first and then it kind of went off the rails. Not axe's fault obviously

Its not going to happen that way. He is not going to get fed up and disappear.I will guarantee that. Dont think of the worst. I guess it wouldnt be the case if the people who bought and got the sculpt posted pics in the thread as they got it but I dont see them do that although they have received it. A good 15 members here have received their sculpt... only a few have posted pics. The only ones pending are those who have combined orders or standalone orders with the non haired gap filled version. Which is being finished on schedule and will all ship from September onwards
