yes but how many do u think buy 300 dollar clothing sets? for a ledger joker many already have so many versions and can use that head with ease...
for bill... its a 700 dollar journey with clothes + accessories...

i am not saying things cant get recast all i am saying is its a long journey to complete a bill figure vs a joker. Some of us are  for a long time... loooong time and most of us wont buy a recast...

soon..I mean.. the clothes..

the clothes for the bill will be very cheap..

you will be looking at about 250-300 for clothing (when available), 200-300 for knife set (when available), 150 or 300 sculpt, 80 hat (when available), 40-75 body, 70 shoes (when available).
Building Bill is not cheap.

Have you guys ever considered building your own figure from scratch?

I have no background in design or art but I needed a belt and weapons for a figure. I bought some materials, set a few hours aside and made my own stuff.

If you need parts for a figure - make some :) or modify existing ones. No need to spend insane money.

Just a thought.

If you look through my photobucket (link below) you'll see a lot of my figures I've done just that - including 80% of my Bill v1.
I actually prefer bashing and making stuff myself tbh - but it is still expensive either way you look at it - and lots of people will pay to have an artists name, not just the product.

you have catch the point.. :clap

and this for me is real insane... :cuckoo:

most of the people are not interested at the figures itself but at the value (in money) of the figure.. :slap
but it's only my opinion..

There is no point calling anyone cuckoo etc. u disagree with him.... Just do that and move on. I am assuming you are not 16 so ...

you misunderstood me....
I do not call anyone :cuckoo: if thinks differently from me
is the kind of thinking that, I find crazy

the world is plagued by the idea of having a brand
sometimes or better, often where's no brand, there is better quality..for the most if it is made by yourself..

:wave

For this one, it's not about brand or marketing. It's more of the value of an artwork made by the artist himself. It's his own hand that made the piece. In every artwork, the original one that's made by the artist's hands, a piece of the artist actually goes with the artwork. That's how you should value an art piece, that's how you honour an artist's work. It will be different if the artist had a big company with a lot of workers doing the casting/painting job for him, the value will of course be lower. But for this particular artwork, it's all the artist's hand and hard work. That's what made it very special.

Of course, I am saying this not for you, jago, because from what I read, our definition of "art" is different. This is my two cents for most of the thread participants, not you.

in fact it's as you say, unfortunately because today everything has a price, but as a concept should not be so because the art is an expression of yourself and if you want to create something that you're free to make a gift is fine but should have any request of money..

at least I wish it were so..A few have tried as van gogh..
he sold only in case of need
