As much as i hate to say this i think deniro sucked in the godfather as bad as that is.... I preferred the original, Luca,Sonny,Fredo list goes on haha!
Cult king did Deniro and the 2nd outfit set didn't even have 15 people interested from what I was told. :rotfl

In all seriousness......

Deniro as Vito, IMO, is just as superb as Brando. I love both performances and films equal, I love the 1940s looks and feel of the first film but I also love the 1920s little Italy of GF2, plus Vito returning to Sicily, cutting open Don Ciccio, avenging his family! come on that was damn cool. I love the supporting cast in GF1, good 'old fat Clemenza, sonny, Tessio and the crew. But I look at GF1 and GF2 as one big epic. And my dream is to have the perfect visions of Michael, Old Don, and The young Don all on my shelf as a tribute to that. And too be completely honest the cult king mustache young Vito needs a suit upgrade.

It's true I started a thread and failed to gather sufficient interest for Deniro as Vito, suit being the "ask your friends in the neighborhood about me, they'll tell
You I know How to return a favor" when he talks to the landlord; Signor Roberto... But there is a nice small amount of godfather fans that respect and love DeNiro as Vito in GF2 and I hope an upgrade is made possible in the future, managed by me or another fellow freak, but that is a conversation/thread for another time.
