Oh no, that's perfect. Thats what I meant, a painted proto. I was just making sure we'll see it painted before NRD , casting etc. Thanks. :)

Axe,

Just wanted to say thanks for doing this! I'm totally fine with all sculpted hair whatever helps keep the cost down. Those other people who want to pay $500-$1K for a head sculpt let them do that somewhere else as at that price point it will kill it for a lot us which defeats the purpose of this project!

I also agree you can't do a sculpt based off of the Adam hs, it's best to use actual screen reference of the Joker!

Looking at the HS if people really wanted to add a few strands of hair here & there you still can, I see a few spots that you can add some, which the buyer can do themselves if they choose, no need to do mixed media which will be time consuming & costly for the sculptor.

People just need to relax this is a WIP & if you want an Adam G. HS then contact him, don't bi**h & complain about it here!

If my memory serves me correct this whole project was started because "I wanted an Adam gu imaresqd1 sculpt"and why shouldn't we compair it to a perfect neutral expression sculpt,or a neurtral expression lifemask(sure some skin texture might be lost but the basic structure of his face is there and won't change unless he is doing drastic expressions.)this isn't cheap, for 350 -400 bucks I can get another dx11 ,I want a sculpt that blows that one away, not another "it looks like the joker but not heath ledger sculpt"

Hindsight being 20/20 Axe should have refrained from mentioning Adam's name in the project, but I think the subject was going to come up no matter what.

In the end though if you are not satisfied with the final results you can always decide not to buy it.

$350-$400 bucks does seem a little steep, but lets wait for the final product to be shown. $350-$400 dollars can either be steep or a steal after its all said and done.

You can get another DX11, but guess what, you will still have the same duck-face Joker sculpt.

Re: 1:6 Heath Ledger as The Joker Painted Headsculpt WIP PIC UPDATED in 1st POST

i completly understand that put Adams sculpt as standard is tricky and impossible to be reached, but this sculpt has potential to be the second better imo, better even than Bobby, but to come this quality, ll need some efforts from we giving our feedback, and from sculptor wilth patience and listening ( when is viable of course our requests) . Until now the 4 better joker sculpts imo are: 1- Adam, 2- Bobby, 3- One asian guy that i don't know the name ( is a lot of numbers and letters), 4- MRM last edition.
All of them have in common the real hair added, i believe this push up the quality standard, other things like casts made with silicone in photos improve a lot too the flesh tone ( i never see in hand one, somebody that saw one can tell).
Tell all this is not complain, here is one forum and we are giving our opinions to a one beautiful outcome.
Depending to what is being done, logically will reflect the price cost.
Are up to us if think it s worth or not to pay.
i think 400 for one painted cast is a lil too much, but who knows..

Re: 1:6 Heath Ledger as The Joker Painted Headsculpt WIP PIC UPDATED in 1st POST

Guys just an earnest request. Don't bicker amongst yourselves because honestly I don't think any project has the power to make every potential customer happy. What will happen will happen depending on what can be achieved to the best of our abilities.
Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned that my want for a better sculpt than what Hot Toys have provided so far was due to the fact I was amazed by Adam's sculpt. I'll be more diplomatic next time to avoid any misunderstandings which may have made some people believe that this would be Adam's sculpt but at a cheaper cost.

Also I would also request you guys to avoid as much as possible from throwinh ballpark prices because honestly some/most of the speculated prices are beyond my own ability to afford :lol
Let's just wait till this thing develops, till then enjoy the updates which I hope to bring more frequently. And of course do post your suggestions. Photo manips on the WIPs specially would be of great help. Or any good references you can find which has the changes you would like highlighted.

Thanks for your faith.

Good likeness so far, but yeah has room for improvement. I like the hair sculpt though for the most part

Yeah. If the price reaches $500 I'd disappear off that interest list like a fart in the wind.

I think you were pretty clear. It's everyone else that's getting it mixed up. This is what you said:

Okay guys, some of you may remember that I was collecting interest to convince a top top artist in the industry to sculpt for us, a definitive as possible, 'Heath Ledger Joker 1/6 headsculpt'.

Then:
This idea was conceived from to the fact that I always wanted a Ledger Joker as sculpted by Adam Gu aka Imaresqd1, but, at a price I could afford.

You got the idea. Don't beat yourself up. If you're collecting interest on a sculpt that's being made from an industry pro that's going to have a moderately hefty price tag of Ledger Joker then it's damn near impossible not to bring up Adam in some way. He set the standard of what an "ultimate" Joker should look like, and everyone wants one.

Good likeness so far, but yeah has room for improvement. I like the hair sculpt though for the most part

Nice to see you show up. Lets see dem Photoshop manips!

I have Bobby's sculpt, and I can tell you in hand, the silicone is amazing. It makes the skin looks real, and the paint looks like
make-up on skin, instead of paint.
That is actually one of the driving force why his is not cheap, people forget when comparing sculpts, but they forget one of the reasons why Bobby's is expensive is the craftmanship. Its not just another joker sculpt. Its silicone, plus medical grade glass eyes, and
the hair was individually punched.
Typical 1:1 scale done in this manner usually run anywhere from $4-8K...maybe more.
So he has a reason why his isnt cheap.

My list is the same as yours, I do give Adam the top notch, and Bobby 2nd.
