Axe, I think the damage needs to be fixed.
If the money cant be refunded, which is i am sure it can not anyway,
at least give us more than just the head/painted head. Maybe a CoA, or a special accesories that has unique material that can't be recasted, or anything exclusive.

This is really the thing I hated to see....
No offense to anyone but when someone offer a cheap recast basically disgrace product in the market, people all of a sudden wants to jump off the boat??? Why?
Axe has been doing a great job to line-up the project and we all knew right from the beginning how this custom thing works.....you guys has already pointed out sooner or later, some SCUM will recast the HS in the market, so why complaining...you can have all the conspiracy theory but I trusted a talented sculptor like MJ would not kill his own reputation by reselling his work to a re-caster.....

I think it is because a lot of people would rather buy the cheap recast because it isn't expensive. The trouble with that is the paint sucks on this recast, so if u get a pro to paint it and buy this u are still looking at about $200.

Yeah but I think people are pissed that the recast is already on ebay whereas they still havn't gotten their painted ones yet. So it's not the fact that this has been recast, the problem is that the recast is on ebay before the authentic painted product has been released. I don't think it is anyone's fault but the re-caster themselves, I don't think there is a conspiracy just bad luck.

There is no evidence of a conspiracy of any kind. Just agenda-fueled paranoia at this point. There is a perfectly logical explanation for this. I know it sucks for folks who paid full price, either expecting a version (even a counterfeit version) wouldn't be made cheaper, or expecting that the value of their "investment" would be maintained. But as long as there are people with no integrity and the interest in making a quick buck, this can happen.

I am pretty sure headplay (which is a mass produced factory) have always sold recast, so this is nothing new. The only thing that is strange is that the recast is available, yet the actual painted product has yet to be released.

Yeah...and the bad luck really goes to everyone especially MJ coz no one expecting to see this damn thing come so soon. Those re-caster really goes nuts to suck blood from talented artists and I hope people with integrity wouldn't be buying this knowing that how they make $ by killing other hard efforts...

But the same deal happened here. The unpainted sculpts went out around a month ago, and now they are being produced. And this recasting business is only bad news for the artist. Now, he's apparently canceled his Indiana Jones because of this, and I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't offer anything on the boards from here on. Doesn't make sense for him to take a couple thousand bucks from a single sculpt, then immediately offer it up to be mass produced, upsetting folks in the process and ruining his own reputation when he had the prospect of making a lot more money.

All unfounded speculation at this point, when the simplest most rational answer is that a rogue buyer is responsible.

It has been a MONTH almost since unpainted sculpts have already been received by those who ordered.

a total of 14 unpainted casts have been sold, to 6 different buyers. ALL members from this board. Of which all except one buyer has been accounted for. These Have NOT been done in the same time as the original. The artist is painting all the remaining orders which will probably be sent out end of June hence itll be July when everyone gets their one in hand.

What's getting under my skin is I just paid 120 bucks for an unpainted casts,I have a feeling that mj12 is somehow involved with this,it's just way too fast to be offering a recasts.maybe I'm wrong,I hope I am,but if not this guy should refund some of the money to those who bought unpainted heads.we usually pay less for items not triple the price .im declaring shenanigans !!

I agree with what's been said. A COA verifying it's authenticity NEEDS to be included with every order at this point. Have this 'exclusive' piece reflect that. At least I'm ok in spending the money on a blank cast, sorry for those that paid full price.

It is because of unpainted casts and the fact that they were sent out much before the painted ones that all this happened. Steven please dont insinuate such things, plus the recasts too are preorder which means they have produced nothing yet. And the picture they are using for the recast promotion seems like the original unpainted sculpt but painted by them.
