Different, not talking Q here, we're talking a major company, doing machine manufacturing. Q wouldn't, couldn't do it for forty made and painted. Large scale here.

I know at the risk of sounding dramatic but I feel I have to say this:
I have been on the boards for a few years now. From day one I tried to be proactive by trying to be a coordinator of projects. Iminime's Denny was the first one who gave me the chance and I had many succesful ones with him from The Demon, toe Seven Detectives, Patrick Bateman, Cowboy etc etc. However during these times there were usual flame wars on the board regarding disagreements on likeness and other things etc. I have been called many things before in my passionate charge, plus there has been widespread insinuation I do all this for money or 'free figures' as some think.
Anyone who has worked on a project with me knows I have never taken a CENT from Iminime or anyothers, or any free figures for that matter. I have invested a HUGE amount of my personal time on EVERY project I do. This one is one of them too. From maintaining every order log, confirming payment to addrssing emails and every detail. Addressing requests from every member. I have invested hours and hours of my time. All for the sake of seeing something I had a hand in come to life. Maybe it seems too idealistic but thats what it is. I dont earn in US$ and what I earn, I have to save to buy a standard HT which is more than my salary.
So what is important to me is my reputation and honour. So today when my pet project ends up being recasted, seeing the actual face of so many who see this as a chance to recoup some funds instead of seeing how damning the person who is rsponsible for buying an unpainted sculpt and breaking our trust. When people want this to be the chance to call this a con, I really am disappointed. If you have any faith in me, have faith in the artist.
Unpainted sculpts were offered and shipped out early for the convenience of the buyerswho were the reason why unpainted sculpts were offeredin the first place. Many who know me know I never encourage unpainted sculpts being offered because I see them the easiest cheapest way for recasters to get them. However I gave in and recommended it to the artist who agreed simply because there were so many of you who expressed their desire for it to be offered.
The thread has become more and more veering towards a situation where people are being more and more vindictive towards the artist. I can tell you this much. If you have any shred of faith in me, PLEASE believe me when I say that I am vouching for the artists' integrity. It feels ironic that the artist whose first step this was to become in the boards to contribute more and more and collaborate with more people, may turn out to be his last considering almost now its a witch hunt against him!
But I can tell you that this has done nothing but strengthen my resolve to ensure that his works are continued to be released in this board for the benefit of those collectors who can have the faith.
Please think about it, isnt this the time to actually see how much recasting has become and evil before making such a charge on the very person this issue has hurt the most? I hope you will factor in this thought before making your accusations.

Do you know how long it takes to make a final headsculpt only if full attention is given to it? A maximum of a month. Ask anyone who has ever had any nowledge of mass production. And again, the recasts have NOT been produced if you see in the ebay links. They are preorders with a July date. Unpainted sculpts were received by members in May. Two months is a long time for them to finish. The fact they are using the original resin sculpt in the promotional means they havent produced/finished producing them yet.

Who charges and collects $100 plus for a sculpt from an "anonymous" sculptor then has the audacity to be annoyed when people ask straight foward questions or share tough but honest critique and opinions.
Who tries to deflect this as an excuse for some kind of a vendetta, when people are out hundreds of dollars and STILL no one in direct control has come foward to accept responsibility for it by addressing this either through a statement or directly. No rather still very much "ANONYMOUS"

It may have been unwise to send out the unpainted casts before the painted, but live and learn. I'm sure that mistake will not be made again.
I firmly believe that Ankit was just as crushed as everyone else when he found out about the recasting. Hell, probably MORE crushed. For people (TURBO) to come in here and make wild accusations towards him being a part of the recasting, adding insult to injury...BAD form.

How can you compare this to the mona lisa? The mona lisa is not a run of paintings made by the artist. You can say if the Joker sculpt was an OOAK, and someone managed to recast it. Then i'd use that comparison.

Hmmmm, Ankit and I spearhead projects involving iconic characters that are widely offered, and they get RECASTED?!?! *GASP* YOU DON"T SAY!!!
There is literally no way to keep a lid on recasting in this hobby now, unless you keep the offering to a select few, highly trusted people. Unfortunately, that doesn't make for a very good business model. Unfortunately you wouldn't know anything about that, because you don't contribute anything to this hobby, you just like to flame the people that do and spread your horse**** theories.
And no, the live and learn comment was not directed towards the customers (of course you would assume that), but Ankit, and anyone else involved in running the project.

How nice, now both me and Dane are incompetent as projects we did were recasted. And how are people out money? Who has paid for goods which they have not received and will not receive? So the recasting means that is the way for people to go? That is what you are recommending?

A friendly reminder Turbo. Please stop with the attack. It's enough now you have done it in so many threads and it has become very tiresome. So It stops now otherwise infractions will be given, if infractions are not enough it will be a ban.
