Even if he created a new account, as soon as he started spitting out his usual poison, people would spot him. That, or he would refrain from saying his usual crap which would be very painful for him.
Regarding saying what he wants or expressing his opinion, that works in public spaces. It doesn't apply here. This is basically like private property. Dave's house and he can kick out whomever he wants. I would if I had my own website.

it isnt private property, it is a public forum.
Dave can kick whoever he wants, sure. But he doesnt clearly, there has to be a sufficient reason.
i Dont necessarily agree with what Turbo is saying, but also I dont see any reason to ban someone for giving an opinion that no one should even respond to or make a deal out of in the first place. You are all just fueling the flames giving into his remarks. Unless Turbo is ripping someone off, scamming or spamming the boards, or directly insulting someone, I cant see a legit enough reason to outright ban a premium member for saying how he feels. Just doesnt seem right, no matter what his opinion may be.

At this point, I just really want the painted head from MJ, i believe in his talent and frankly, there's no going back now :lol for the people asking for a refund, are you guys going to buy the recast?

For me personally, I was going to try to sell me spot for financial reasons. This was long before this recast fiasco and can be verified from PMs I had with people. Now with the recast I doubt that's possible. I made a post of of how I wish I could get my money back, but that was generally speaking. While there were some things I didn't like about the project, I dont have anything against axe and think he's done a fine job. I have no interest in the ebay head.

Hello guys, thanks for your support. This is a very sad situation. The artist himself has been distraught about this and even more so when he realised that he was being accused of being the one leaking his own sculpt to recasters. Some members have accused me too. But its OK, I did get worked up last night but I realised this is SSF and with multiple instances of trusted artists disappearing with peoples money, trust is something people really don't have much of. It's sad but true.
As for naming and shaming. I think I'll leave it up to Dave if he wants to go that route. We have communicated with each other regarding this and his decision ofcourse will be the final outcome.

My only request is that please don't make these wild accusations and propagate conspiracy theories like some of the people who would prefer to see the project fail or just be plagued by negativity simply because they have some weird personal animosity with one of the people involved in the project.

However other than one, none of the buyers have yet emailed for a refund citing this situation, the one that did cited him not feeling the sculpt anymore, so that in a way does make me believe that the ones making the noise are not buyers or have anything invested into the project. Rather its made loudest by those who only pop up to be a part of the peanut gallery and try to seep more negativity into the people who are involved as the consumers.

Thank You again for your support, I hope we will come back stronger from this incident.

I would just say having the original is better than not having it and dealing with a bum bootleg version. It will be well worth it in the end because you know that you have the real deal....
I appreciate the efforts to get Bill going along with Robbie and company....let's just press on and move forward

I totally get how people may not see clearly in the heat of the moment when a situation gets you bent out of shape, but now that the dust is starting to settle I think you can all make better sense of the situation. There's no way in hell that Axe or MJ would be involved. I can vouch for Ankit because I know he doesn't have that type of blood in his veins. As for MJ... I don't know him personally but it would be completely counter productive and go against his own best interest in the long run here by getting in bed with recasters. I just don't see it. He has great talent and could have a comfy future with a lot of supporters on this forum.

As for that yayayiya guy or whatever the hell is name is..... this is his MO!!! This is his gig guys. His op is a well-oiled machine and he's a seasoned vet. He has plenty of HT heads that are up for PO HOURS-DAYS within the fig's release in Asia. I was bashing him weeks ago in another thread when someone posted his FB page. He had Banner teased for PO and I don't think that it was even released in Asia yet (if it was it was seriously within 48 hours)! That guy's FB page and whole op is a joke and an insult. I can't believe that he has the balls to post a pic of himself as his profile pic to his "custom" (uuhhh...yea...RECAST) promo page. I'm actually surprised that HT never does anything about it. I suppose that they don't because they're not in the "parting out" business, but still... on principle alone. The custom artists can't put a stop to this but HT is an official license holder

Anyway, this is really sad to see and like Marf said, Axe is aching more than anyone over this; guaranteed. I hope that MJ lets this one roll off his shoulders and uses it as a lesson. If he sticks around he’ll see there’s a very different side to the coin

I always know it will eventually come to this somehow.
But for it to come this fast is saddening.

Now there is a good chance that the Indy and Bill project will get cancelled I suppose.
Also losing another talented sculptor.

yeah, I agree with you.

I know this is some what off topic but I really dislike when people say "i know this is SSF" like a bad thing, not just this thread but I've seen it in others, yes there are annoying people and scammers here but there is also a lot of cool and nice people I have come in contact with, an amazing amount of talent on this board, I wish people wouldn't trash this forum so much, I love coming here and enjoying this hobby even more, just ignore the bad and focus on the good, sorry the sculpt got recasted, sucks, hope you guys figure it all out, just wanted to chime in about the SSF bashing. I truly enjoy this forum and love some of the conversations, custom works, knowledge and collections shared.

well said, this place is actually a pretty great community as far as the internet is concerned. I get help with basically everything and of course there are a few douches but everybody's got those

I support you, man! It's as simple as you said... no one's asked for their money back... therefor, every single one of us who paid is still waiting eagerly for this Project, and the loud comes from people who has nothing to do with their life except for being rich and spoiled kids with daddy's account waiting for the next Hot Toys to come out. The thing is, we all know the risks of this hobby and the risk of electronic transactions, and still we're here talking, buying and involving in this community. W should thank all the artists that make this hobby better every day. Recast is a *****, but we shouldn't give a a **** because we paid for the real deal, if someone's budget allows him to afford only the recast.. so be it, but the real piece of art is the original. Cheer up, man! :clap

Well said. This is what everyone should be thinking - Nothing has changed for those getting this sculpt.

+1 and agreed to the fullest

The recast would be exactly the same sculpt both in quality and likeness it just has a terrible paint job, so getting an authentic one is no better than getting a recast one in that sense. I can see why people are pissed about this because the reason I bought this was because if I missed out I was worried I would regret it later on. Now that this sculpt is on ebay, there is no rush to buy it anymore as this is no longer a once in a life time opportunity that I once thought it was.

Tell that to the people that paid $122 for the unpainted sculpt.

again, nothing has changed for them. good luck painting over a sloppily painted recasted cast made from PVC. Let alone getting reputable board members to repaint the recasts.
Explain why is it so much worse for people who bought unpainted? They are getting exactly what they paid for.

Because he clearly supports recasting
