well, i'm getting the same sculpt (interrogation, no extension). my sculpt is currently at the customs, and should get it soon.
but judging by the pics, i haven't seen one yet, that looks nearly like it was promised in the promo shots. i will still wait for the "in-hand" feeling, but if it looks like in the pictures, it is not what i've expected to get, paid and have been promised for and will end up selling it. so if anyone have an interest in buying it from me, if i should decide to sell it, than shoot me a pm.

I was SO on the fence to get this, but I have to admit after the MRM fiasco, I am just burnt out (no pun intended ;)) on Ledger Jokers- so I passed on this. Other than the excellent painting on the eyes, my opinion at least is that the haired Interrogation Joker from MRM that I have is superior--just my opinion though. Darkavatar, you have MRM 1:4th HS right?, If I remember you have one of the best of that batch.

now i am worried. The prototype paint job is VERY different than what was delivered.

I have to agree, even the pictures without flash don't do the paintjob any favours. The hairline, black eye make up and lipstick all look rather sloppy, and not in the good "Joker sloppy" way. I am still hlding out for better DSLR pictures, but based on what I've seen so far, including the clean paintjob, I feel that the artist did not deliver as well as he should have, based on the prototype and price.
However, in the artist's defense, I still have to say that the sculpt itself is great, and I'm still perfectly happy with my unpainted cast. Perhaps with having to paint this amount of orders, he bit off more than he could chew, though.

I hate to such a harsh word as shoddy, but that's exactly what comes to mind looking at that interrogation head. The paint on that prototype pic is incredible, but the in hand pics just aren't that great in comparison.

yes, it is very different. VERY different. This is not the paintjob I am paying for. Come on, after the recasting incident, at least the buyers of the originals can have the top notch paint job.. this is very disappointing.

I hate to say this...but sometimes people just cant wait to see more photos of my painting job.... before judge...
they make their words so easily..
Photos always make misunderstanding...
I hope someone take better photo.

I think, that if you have problems with a product, you should contact the artist/representative first. If they do not react, or do something inappropriate, you have your right to get public with your concerns. I always do so, and see people doing this. But of course not at SSF.

I think the picture above in my post speak for itself... The scarring area towards the cheeks were painted with meticulous detail in the proto where as the final product is a slab of red paint.

Mine's arrived! great painting work!

Wha... :huh

So do you like it or not? :lol

I'm reserving my judgement after Thrustmaster received his. He has a pretty high standard and a keen eye for details.

Although I've already commented on the paint job, I agree, my final judgment is reserved until his shots. I've never seen a picture of his that did not show the figure in the best possible light and looked amazing. That is of course partly due to his high standard in figures and sculpts.:lecture

Just took some more pics in better lighting without the flash.

Hmm I think you are right Fiend, the proto had more greys in in it. This just looks too white. I would still say it's a good paint job but not real good like Dream works and the proto. Nevertheless, the eyes are painted really well though.

After looking at these briefly, I think there's a tad too much black paint near his mouth areas.

Any screen grabs to compare the paint?

He's also good in posing the figures and making it look natural, I sometimes had to double check whether it's the figure or an actual movie promo /pic. :lol

He makes the EB Batman looks amazing, I can't seem to make mine look like his.

Someone once called me a lunatic for sharing my opinion, so I will keep it short here. I've been reading this thread silently for LONG LONG TIME. The head is definitely not the same as promo shots, but it's not sub-par either. If Adam Gu is 9/10 or 10/10, I would rate this MJ12 head a 7/10 max. Again please note that I am not an expert.

Hope you enjoy the pics. But if you don't like the heads, I don't really care. No more words from me.

Looks good there. The interrogation one looks miles better than the one darkavatar posted.

I like it at first. But then the posts here reminds me of the prototype offered, then I feel like I've been tricked. The paintjob is not bad, not bad at all. But not the same as the paint job that's being offered at first.

I usually trust my first impression rather than what others have said. The posts that others have said, most of it are based on pics they see; not from folks who actually own the piece and having the head in hand.

I say if you like how it looks in hand, then that's what matters most. Proto pics are just pics, take it with a grain of salt. I don't see anyone complaining how the HT mark 7 BD having a different look than the proto pics. The proto actually looks like die cast, while it looks and feels plasticky in hand.
