The head looks good to me too, congrats!!

Yeah I think there are two reasons for that.

1. Better camera than mine.

2. The interrogation sculpt there looks like it has less flesh showing through and painted similar to the Mob make up, since it is practically white and thus, has a smoother look to it than sculpts painted with accurate interrogation make up. So even though the quality looks good it is totally inaccurate to the interrogation scene, since there is practically no flesh shining through.Nevertheless, it obvious that it is better than mine as far as quality goes.

he just posted a facebook message telling people to stop posting "bad photos" discrediting his work.. Seems like customer service ain't gonna be his forte.

Considering your experience with him, I have to say that you are staying very impartial and level headed throughout this thread. :clap
And I agree that those not happy with the paint job ahould write either Choi directly, or axe and ask him to forward it. The worst thing that could happen is being ignored, which wouldn't change anything about the status quo.

The latest shots of kia look much better, especially the hairline seems much improved. It sucks though that there appears to be no consistency.

Well just for the record, I had been talking to him for a while and sugar coat my suggestions as sweet and polite as possible as I know it can be hard to swallow criticism when dealing with an artist about his work. I think on that particular day, I wasn't having such a great day with some work problems etc and I kinda snapped since I kinda feel offended by his attitute. But I was still being polite when I told him that he need to work on his people skill. So no idea why he'd go as far as to delete and block me. But whatever, it doesn't really bother me :lol

Afterwords, axe really helped me out a lot, and explained shed some lights and explain misunderstandings which help me get a clearer idea of the whole thing. So I try my best not to take it personal. I think we should all cool off, and enough with the negativity in this thread. There's bound to be problems in just bout any transactions, best scenario now is try to get together and find a solution that will work mutually. PM axe, I'm sure he'll help out as best as he can.

Axe is one of the best guys to deal with on this board. We have had quite alot of projects where he was involved as "organizer" and I was a simple client. He was always friendly, responding, honest and reliable. There is no reason to worry for any of you, because Axe is a part of the Freaks-Family. He is one of us and will do whatever is possible to help you guys out.

I worked a little bit in Photoshop to see for yourself this discrepancy sculpt to "real" Heath. Left from the original MJ, right - modded MJ in Photoshop. I think that was a little more like Ledger. Problems with Sculpt: 1. Nose 2. Mouth. 3. Eyes (Optional) 4. Cheeks. 5 Chin? (I did not correct him).

In all honesty I see SSF is the only place where people seem to be worried already without receiving their sculpts... Steven and Levit05 have been the only ones who have received their orders, disappointed by it and have been vocal about it. Levit05 has also mentioned it has disappointed him enough to ensure he buy an unauthorised recast to solve his problem. Steven's matter will be looked into and I think he has already got his resolution from the artist himself. Batsheva liked his sculpt when he received it in hand, but this was before he saw pics of Stevens and the proto and felt it wasnt really good, so I would suggest he too head to the artist to see what can be done about it.

The rest who would like to send an anticipatory complaint please do so by mailing directly to the artist in his Facebook or his email id where you sent the payment.

I prefer the unmodded version actually. I don't see the shopped one as an improvement.

I can't you believe you made the eyes even smaller, especially one of the major problems with the sculpt was that the eyes were too small.

It already has and all I can say what a great guy MJ is, I can't believe how understanding he was about this issue. :yess:

I just wish I never posted the dam pictures because I didn't realize it would cause everyone to panic. I only posted them so people could see in hand pics of the sculpt with the interrogation paint scene. Granted, I knew the paint job was not as good as the proto but I didn't think it sucked until everyone pointed it out all the things wrong with it. But I guess I was probably in denial because if I am honest I think I knew it wasn't as high quality like the Mob painted ones.

Yeah but don't abuse him, just be objective and tell him what you don't like about the sculpt and I am sure he will do what he can to accommodate your needs.

I have talked with MJ, and currently trying to resolve the issue with the best solution.

I got the sculpt - yaay it's good - i saw your post of promised end result of the interrogation painting - I thought, hey wait, it's supposed to look like that, which is tons better than what I have now!

I like the eyes of the photoshop version but otherwise none of those things bother me. Actually the eye makeup is much darker than the proto and I'm very pleased about that

I like it a lot!

My overall impression:
Major improvement over the DX11. Looks much better in hand.
I slightly added gloss on his lips, I think it added a nice touch.
The likeness is pretty good, also...my major concern is that in most pictures, he appears to have a lot of texture.
In hand, its not bad at all, definitely much smoother than I anticipated.

My nitpick on the figure is that I wish the flesh color could have had more darker flesh color so that it would have more contrast
to the makeup.
Also, I wish the green on hair could have been a tad brighter.
Overall though, I think the sculpt has a high quality look to it in hand.
