I think a brand new fedora would be in order to match the style of the sculpt. Some people that will be purchasing the sculpt may not have the Hot Toys figure and dont plan on getting it so they would not have an existing fedora. It also makes sense to sculpt it to fit a hot toys muscle body or one that is comparible in size and skin tone. Def intersted to see how this turns out so put me down on the official list.

I would love to see Last Crusade Indy

So many opinions... I dont think any project can really make everyone happy. I will be having detailed talk with the artist at the end of this week and we will try to figure out what will be the best way to go about this project.

I'm on board with any suggestions Marf makes :chillpill:

Pick a film maybe Raiders and based it on that film have the hat sculpted to him the expression is another issue though.

I also think the hat should be sculpted new and not the Hot Toys one. The Hot Toys hat and head were too small for the body they were on. As far as the body goes, I think the DX Indy body would be fine to use as a guide, you'd just need to make sure the head was the correct size. The Hot Toys head was too small, the WGP heads were too small, and the Sideshow head was too big.

For the look, I'd go with Raiders for sure. For the paint, I wouldn't make the skin tone too dark; I'd go more by the movie stills. Just my 2 cents.

IMO the expression should be straight forward, no goofy grin or mouth open. Medicom's Han is just about perfect as far as likeness. I think with the proper Indy treatment it would be spot on.

I really like that photo, the smirk, eyebrows and the hat look fabulous

Maybe another option.

Make it for the DX05 body.

If it's possible, also see what interest there would be for a sculpted chest part like Rainman does, to fit other bodies like the TTMM18 or similar.

Best of both worlds.

Then you don't belong in the custom forum dude.. Pricey or not it's the way of the hobby these days and this isn't even as expensive as some others. You pay for quality.

Even if you didn't agree with my opinion, that's a pretty ridiculous statement to make when RM is basically the standard for custom figs and his unpainted sculpts go for $50 and a painted ones for $150, and ill state it again, yeah this is too much... and by the way its statements like this from a few collectors on this board that make many 1/6 collectors wary of this board.

THis is an ANTIQUATED thought imo. RM no longer owns the top spot on ANY of his head sculpts as they have all been sculpted better by someone else. Including this artist take on Bill the Butcher.

Well, we know how well he sculpts, but we haven't seen anything painted yet. Let his skills determine the price point.

Certainly debatable on Bill. I've not seen a better Doc Holiday, Anton, Dude, Plainview, Marla Singer, or Audrey Hepburn. I personally think his Tuco beats the Iminime one, as well.
