With Earl doing the Douglas Quaid set here, thought now would be a great time to see if there's interest there for Kuato from Total Recall.

sdabbs will be doing the sculpt, we envisioned a full head and chest as one piece, but the workings will be figured out along with the price if the interest is there.

Seeing this gives me great hope that one day a 1/6 version of the triple-titted tart may yet become a reality.

Interested by the way.

Re: Total Recall (1990) Kuato [sdabbs]

I'd definitely be interested... hopefully the human head could be a ball jointed neck, I imagine it would be possible to sculpt the torso and fixed neck to slip over top of a neckless body. Then engineer an opening in the torso's neck that would allow the plug and ball joint from a 1/6 figure to be placed inside.

Be fun if Kuato's head could also move, but that'd probably be asking too much :lol

And as I'm thinking about it the actor has pretty thin arms, so I'd imagine this would work well if you put it on a TT slim, that way a slip on Torso wouldn't be massive like if it were put on a narrow shoulder body.

Wow! I'm so down for one! Add me please.

We were considering something like this for the approach.

Then when the shirt and trousers are on it would be fully covered.

and yes a slim or a KO ttm18 would also work i think.

Re: Total Recall (1990) Kuato [sdabbs]

for sure. how many people do you need on the list to make this a green light project?

Total Recall (1990) Kuato [sdabbs]

Not 100% would need to speak to Sean but 10 would be ideal, and keep it limited

Re: Total Recall (1990) Kuato [sdabbs]

 Hope it can only be 10 and keep it limited will make this a very attractive set.

Total Recall (1990) Kuato [sdabbs]

That's the plan :)

Sean needs to finish the John matrix head and then the quaid head and then he will make a start on this if we reach the 10

Commando head is almost finished

Yes, I agree with that... but the only change I'd suggest is to have the head separate; on Walter it would be difficult to get a realistic look if you articulated the neck. But with Kuato you could easily create a torso with a neck and separate head and you would not compromise the aesthetics. Although maybe having a fixed/weird lulled-back angle to the head would be preferable.

Who made that?

And if anyone needs a painter and this goes forward I'd be happy to paint some additional kits while I paint my own.

I need this to go with Quaid.
