Hey guys, thanks for the comments, a few things i should add, The reason i spoke to Krec about this and said i would be up for doing it regardless of numbers of people interested is that i intend to do some Street fighter full figure sculpts, they will be my sort of take on the characters so may not follow any particular version or look for any given character. That being said please feel free to offer oppinions and crits.
Ryu was very rough in the first pics, i have since changed quite a bit that people have mentioned like the bandana thickness and stuff. I will post some new pics tomorrow some time.
I will do them for the arnold body as that is the sort of size i will be going for in the full sculpts, ive also started looking at the lower arm and leg add ons.

Ok i get you're doing your take thats fine but can you incorporate the animated movie into them. I think everyone here wanted the animated movie style.

Yeah we can try for a happy medium, will see what people think from the next pics and go from there, if push comes to shove i could do a couple of versions

The first image is based on the sf2 Hd remix dunno about the second thats fine not telling how to sculpt or anything but i think most signed up for the animated version it's a iconic look for him Imo lets see what you come up with.

He needs more chin, a lot more. And his cheek bones are a bit much. His mouth is frowning way too much.

I really dig the style of the sculpt. I really like the sculpt overall. I really dig the Udon style artwork, so sculpts looking like that would be right up my alley. I would agree that the scowl is a bit much, in the artwork you posted, Ryu looks a bit more peaceful and contemplative, not so much "You %&#@, I'm gonna @#$ you @#$# until you @#$@# out of your @%#$""

I think the eyebrows could be taken down a notch. It's somewhat hard to determine at this stage, just due to the color of the material where the actual brow starts and where the hair starts, but right now it kinda looks like it's sculpted to be fire coming off his face, rather than hair. I would straighten them out the brows and bit and 'man-scape' those eyebrows.

And in all honesty, I wasn't interested in the idea of a SFII Animated Ryu. . . but now that I see this sculpt, I am interested. . . so, I think you're on the right track. I would probably buy this sculpt as is, once you get it finalized. But if you feel like making changes, you have my input.

My preferred Ryu for this project was the animated version. But there are other versions I like. This is one of them:

For now, I'm still very interested. At this point I don't mind if it's not based on a particular version I prefer, as long as it's in an artistic style I like, & I think it looks cool.
