Ill have to ask John what he has going on with the katana. Last time I talked to him we were looking at what can be done about the blade. Hopefully he came up something and can input his ideas here.

I believe that Daniel wants to make the new run a minimum of 12 to get it casted. He had 2 on hand which mightyq bought so that didn't really apply to the new 12. There is also an issue with domestic and international shipping; that's why I have everyone labeled on the list. Daniel will be shipping it to you if you have a U.S. address and Sean will take care of the international folks. So basically the run doesn't start untill all are paid up...

Just want to give a quick update on the sword. I'll copy and paste my message to Jeff about the swords below. The problem we are running into is that the Mononofu swords don't all have the same blades on them even if we buy a box so that wouldn't work. I've been looking at etching the sword blades and here is our conversation:

I talked to one of my coworkers and I think that we might be able to use metal etching for the blade. We can do the handle out of a soft resin and the scabbard and tsuba out of hard resin. It's probably going to cost a bit though since there are 3 different steps. So we'd have to get all the blades (and probably tsubas too if it's possible) etched in metal, then sculpt, print and cast the handles in a soft material. Then sculpt, print and cast the scabbard in two separate parts and glue them together before painting.
I'm currently searching around for someone to do the etching. From what I gather, we would have to make a "tool" to etch from and that costs about $300 or so just for the tool and then each sheet of metal would be around $150-200 per sheet. I'll let you know pretty soon. I've sent out a few emails to different companies to check their pricing and time frame. The few I've gotten back says it takes around 40-45 days once the tooling is done so it's not a fast process. I'll see if I can get some samples if we find a place that will do it. Most of them have minimum requirements though, which is probably our biggest hurdle since I don't think we want to do like 500 swords.

I'm going to order only 3 extra on top what's been confirmed on this list,
but no more than that because I will be out of the country traveling May - Dec and so there's no point ordering any extra if I can't ship them out. So for the few (bolded name) that missed payment, you have a chance to send the payment in between now and the time I leave (mid May) but there's no guarantee, first come first serve, only 3 extra in stock.
I'm ordering only exact quantities for sunglasses as well so those people won't have the option of extra sunglasses either.

Anyone can! but its first come first serve!
Anyone on the list who hasn't paid by today is technically not guaranteed a casting, unfortunately (mostly because I am leaving the country and I can't ship it out any later)
