The katana is up to IDM. Ive just been waiting for him to post ideas/info/progress. There hasn't been much talk here about people's standpoint on accuracy vs. real metal. I think that the katana is something that we should start focusing some attention to because the sculpts and outfits will be in hand before we know it.

I did talk to IDM about the katana, and he did post what he told on here. Now going forward it's in his hands on the progress. I think he is finishing up his other projects first before tackling this but dont quote me on that. Hopefully there is some progress on it.

my caster said it'd be about 1 month for casting everything since the day I paid him so we have only a few more weeks left, I emailed him a few days ago for an update as well and just waiting on him

I have 2 sets left, I've emailed my caster regarding updates and they should be ready soon and then shipped out to me. The estimated time for production was a month but it might be sooner than that

We still can't find a solution to the metal blade. All the Mononofu blades have varying lengths and depth so we can't really use those even if we bought a full case since they have random swords inside.

I looked at getting them etched in metal, but the blades are much too thin to make any sense. If we grind it out of metal, it's going to take an insane amount of time and end up costing way too much and I don't think anyone wants to pay that much for a sword to be honest. If I had to guess, it's probably $250-300 for just the sword and I don't think it's worth it.

At this point, I am out of solutions. If we make a resin sword, it will be too brittle and will break too easy. If anyone else has any solutions, let me know because I'm all out of ideas at this point.

That's some bad news but I can see your point on the matter.
