Definitely mark me down as interested Siquisiri!
You can't beat the price from Unleashed, it's a fair bit of work to put in to each one and he seems like a stand-up guy to be offering them at that price.
I'm still going to go with Yunsil for a set run if enough are still interested - We're looking at silk or something similar to keep the drape and flow of the kimono more accurate for the scale we're working with, but that's to be determined. The two outfits will likely have differences in appearance but it's great to have the two options.
I'm waiting a couple of weeks to see if anyone else jumps on the head sculpt list, if not I'll mark myself down for the remaining spots so we can get this happening sooner rather than later. I'll make up a few extra figures and sell or trade them down the line.

We may not even need the Juban if Unleashed doesn't want to make it - I'm not sure that he wears one in the film... or if he does it's not clearly visible? Seems to be just the Kimono with his bare chest showing most of the time.

To be fair, weathering will probably help with that a lot. They just look freshly made.

One other question for everyone - colours...? It's a black and white film, but can anyone find a source of which colours actually made up his outfit?
In the sample images on the first page, zztop used the mustard yellow / black / brownish colours which looks great, but it's kind of open to interpretation without any source... and so far I can't find any info about his original screen worn outfit that might help. Do we just want to stick with black / grey ??

Those colors are right. IIRC, they are the colors I picked on mine because they were like this on a movie poster.

I was under the impression the bottoms were brown and the top mid blue
Hakama brown and the Haori mid blue as i have seen colour posters and in yojimbo meets zatoichi they are that colour also

Well, I read somewhere once that black dye didn't exist at the time. So to get something near black, they used a very concentrated indigo dye. Therefore, it isn't surprising that the black color gives a slight shade of blue.

Yep on the colour posters of yojimbo the colour is a washed out blue and a wood bark brown

Your custom Yojimbo looks great (found the old pics) - really nice work with the entire figure.
At least we have the colours down now - and the top is dark but not black. Gives Yunsil something to work with.

That was my old custom. Since then, I've made a second on using the 3R Mifune head. I've resculpted the hair and the beard. The result is close enough to the one you posted, but strangely enough, I never thought of adapting the head for a neckless body. So since you posted those, I've ordered one of those shorter bodies from Coo Models and will further modify mine.
If for any reason that project got cancelled for lack of demand (but I don't think it will be the case as you already have a fair number), I can recast my head with stubble and all and offer it to you guys, so don't worry, this project will come to fruition whatever the odds.
Btw, a few years back, Saturday Toys produced a samurai outfit with a black kimono and blue hakama. I think the black kimono was the perfect color because it was black, but not solid black, more of a faded color. I think that if you can find one, Yunsil could use it as a template for the color.
Edit: while I'm at it, more color tidbits. The sole of his tab I should be white, not black as in the custom. The obi is the right color but should have a dark trim at the edge. As for shoes, you have three possibilities. He starts the movie with waraji, then moves on to zori with black straps. The final scene has him with zori with cord straps. At the beginning, he has a katana with buke zukuri mountings on the Tsuka but the scabbard has handachi mountings. The Tsuka is very long. In the final scene, his katana is a complete handachi and the Tsuka is shorter. I think that he also carries a handachi in sanjuro.

That is an extremely generous offer - and if this project ends up falling though I'll definitely take you up on a recast!
I'll check out the kimono from Saturday Toys and add some pics to the reference folder. You've just posted a wealth of information here, thanks for taking the time to type it out and share your research. Colours always had me worried but it looks like we have pretty much all the info we need.
As for shoes... They aren't part of the outfit from Yunsil so we'll all be making our own version based on whatever scene we choose I guess (unless we can commission someone to make a run). The weapons are something we'll have to decide on if we get Fergo to make them... end battle version would probably be my pick as I'll be posing him with the knife as well like the pictures on the first page.
Wife and kids left me alone for a few hours this afternoon and I had the figure on my mind so I knocked up a quick 1/6 deba to try out the process. Working at this scale aint easy! All I had was scrap O1 tool steel and burlwood off-cuts but I might get some decent stainless steel, buffalo horn and wood to make a proper blade and handle if I get a chance.
