TTM20, Captain America HT Body, etc. can work. It's just slightly more expensive but quality is guaranteed.

Not really. He has wide shoulders, but is actually pretty skinny. For all his scenes in "Watchmen" he was wearing a muscle suit.

Personally I went with an advanced when I put together my John Winchester custom.
