Well, if we each buy three, we have about 36! (Ok, it's a joke...)...seriously though, it looks like we may be at the 20 or 25 mark if you count all three categories. No matter which one is selected, that number will probably increase. Add those that hear about it through Facebook as well....c'mon Iminime! Let's get the wagons rolling!

Between the three lists, there are 18 people, total. With that in mind, I think the fact that there's (technically) interest in over 30 figures from 18 people is a testament to just how devoted the fanbase is. Denny said he wants to see The Duke happen, as well, so I think it's just a matter of sticking with it. I'm hoping that they put their faith in this, even if it's just as a small project; if they could pull off something that matched the quality of Blondie, or, more recently, Dorothy, I'd say you could probably pull in non-Duke fans based on "cool" factor, alone (not to mention that he'd make a pretty kickass companion piece to Blondie for those who didn't jump on Tuco and Angel Eyes).

I love Memento just as much as the next Nolan fanboy, and the Iminime release looks tremendous. But I have a hard time understanding how the interest list for Leonard is more than twice as long as the interest list for John freaking Wayne. :dunno

I think the modernity of the film (more relavant to the collectors), Trevor's involvement from the beginning, the fact that it's a Nolan film and the uniqueness of the blond and tattoos made the difference. It's also timing

So Wake, how many total collectors do we need on the list for Denny to consider a Duke figure?

May I ask, Omar, how Trevor gets involved? After seeing the way that Dorothy, the rest of The Trio, and other projects have turned out, there's no doubt in my mind that IMINIME's in-house team could do a stellar job with this, but, as you said, I think there's a sort of "brand recognition" that's associated with collaborators like Trevor that even pulls non-fans in based on a sort of "cool" factor, if you will. I know he's got a limited amount of projects he can do each year, but I'd be willing to bet that interest would jump significantly if such a name were attached.

Completely agree. Most of the younger 1/6 fan base has never seen a John Wayne movie. This would be the type of figure that would draw more interest once they saw how fantastic it would look. And I also agree that if Trevor were to have his name associated with this, it would garner a good deal more interest.

I think Wayne gets another strike against him in that he's a polarizing guy. He represents something about film, and culture that some aren't totally comfortable with. For that reason, I think even some who are familiar with his work aren't going to be as interested as they may for other actors, like Clint for instance.

I'm sure the Memento thing had a lot to do with the Nolan Bat-films. I doubt 2/3 of the people who were interested knew anything about that film before those were released.

Why not make a figure from pi then??

To be fair, though, Charlie Sheen's a polarizing guy, but that didn't stop people from buying the HT Chris Taylor.:lol
