updated list of the tailor set!:

If anyone is having a problem with doing a second run, please raise up your hands. Thanks

If the run is identical, I don't see a problem. If the run has alterations made that benefit the final outcome more than the original I think it is a questionable thing to spark especially since the set was just finished late last year and is so recent - and was available to anyone who wanted it at the time so plenty are out there. It is like asking an artist to release something originally thought to be a one time go - but now apparently uninvolved people are leading to the set being offered once a year. I don't really care what happens either way but if alterations are being made IT HAS TO BE LET KNOWN. Otherwise - yes - I do in fact see it as being questionable.

Also - this was Axe's project. Dont you think asking him - even though he hasnt been on - would be the wisest thing to do? Someone who knows him off of the board or that can get in touch with him? He organized and commissioned the run so it's kind of his dealing. Thinking out loud here.

Going to have to 2nd this, I really think getting Axe's approval is a must, whether he hasn't been on lately or not, it was his commission.

Also like Rob said this outfit was offered to as many who wanted it for the time period, we can't always go back and re-release things because some people weren't there at the time, its not about exclusivity because like it was said it was an open order window, a million people could of ordered if there was the interest at the time, sometimes you have to accept that things have passed and the opportunity was missed, just my opinion, I've gotten into many arguments over this in the past (Amsterdam/Candie: Especially) and don't really wish to again but people need to understand just because they missed out on something doesn't mean they have the right to it now. I have missed out on tons of items and figures prior to my collection customs and never once did I try and get a 2nd run going, it is just certain community unwritten rules.

I don't want to be labelled a "exclusivity snob". Guess I just respect when something is labelled as a one time offering for a certain period that that actually means something. Hope people wanting a 2nd run can read this more openly then I hope it will be read.

All right!

Seriously!? What's the big deal about a second run.

You guys have your brawler set so obviously you feel no need for a second run but let the guys who don't try and get a second run going.

Honestly your blowing it way out of proportion here, IMO.

As people mentioned earlier, I have no problem with another run if it is the same exact same set. If this becomes a new commission and if improvements are made after having bought this less than a year ago I would be upset.

I called Iris and told her that she should not make these , they were released once and all the people that are important got theirs, and that the rest of you that missed out are bantha fodder ! This hobby is only for a few elite good looking studs , the rest of you mouth breathers need to go back to Magic the Gathering.

Not really~~~~

I could understand the entire figure and making an argument about a certain run...but the clothing is just one part of it...so reproduce as much as you can by all means...NOW...while that window was open...some of us either weren't here or didn't have the funds...so if there is a potential to get at least one of the most important pieces for a bash...why not take it...?....OH I see...because other might feel a certain way?...c'mon guys...some of you have a mindset that people are somehow out o devalue your own collection and therefore try to block anything just because of your own perceptions...and that in itself is VERY selfish....

and as far as Axe commissioning this before...I don't know the inner dealings but I remember he specifically stated that he wasn't making a dime from this...so my question is why would you have to get his permission to ask the public tailor to do another run so that she could make her own money from it...?...this baffles me...specially when she is doing other clothing runs on other projects....so again...why or how should he be relevant...?

I think asking for permission is just out of respect. Yes he made no money off the project, but time was spent in getting references, orchestrating, etc.

As I said earlier I am all for this run being revisited as long as its the same. I want people to enjoy this amazing work. I personally only would take issue if this turned into a V2 outfit, etc. It actually could be effective to drop MJ a line and see if they wanted to make more sculpt castings. I saw he recently did it with the Joker. These were never made in a limited number, so if its simply re-released that is the right of the artists.

Hahaha the same points again man geez, people say the "nay Sayers" are selfish and "elitists", it has nothing to do with that! Get over it geez, like I said the order window could of had a million orders and I would of been fine with it, it has nothing to do with edition size, for me it's the principle, when runs are closed and were only opened for a window of time... People want to call collectors like myself who say "no" selfish, fine, call me all you want but the people who want this now and can't see the reason behind the "no" are being selfish themselves, selfish to the fact that this came and went and you missed it, understand the principles and the rules of these runs, put on some big boy pants and move on, you can't always whine and get everything you want just because you missed it... But I'm sure I'll be labelled as the bad guy and quite frankly I don't care anymore, because the majority of people who visit this thread are the ones who now want it and I'll be out numbered anyway, and others who agree with me won't chime in because again they'll be labelled "elitist" "selfish" etc., so you'll end up getting what you want... Enjoy.

HA @ "put on some big boy pants"...to that I say learn business acumen and stop trying to impose "your" beliefs about someone else's pockets, onto others and calling it "principle"...it may not be the principle of the person actually doing the selling of these items and prolly wouldn't mind additional income...BUT what you're saying is that because its YOUR principle they shouldn't...?....do you understand what an elitist is and how your principle can be construed that way?? its almost ridiculous to fathom that people somehow want something that was solely offered for business income....and to then think that that particular product was somehow made for just you or the other people that were able to get this in that period...??...that's by definition the meaning of "elitist"...

Hahahaha what are you talking about, how is it I'm an elitist because a run was officially closed, and now you guys want it reopened, and I respect the concept that once a run is closed its closed, how does that make me an elitist, if it was stated that there would be a 2nd run you would never have heard me say a thing. The fact is, and yeah it's a fact, you missed it, now you want it, so you are crying till you get it... But in the end I'm sure your crying will pay off so congrats, well done man, what's next? Bill V1? The Dude? Going to hit up Yunsil!?

Sincerely,
Your fellow "elitist"

I guess you're angry because you have somehow determined that your principle(s) has been violated by asking about a second run...again...how or in what capacity do you have to be able to speak on Iris's production runs...because you are adamant about people whining or crying as you stated, about it...

in summary...your principle is kinda irrelevant...but if its solely your opinion...then let it be...name calling is just a childish way to get back at someone because you actually think they are hurting your feelings or doing something that will affect you personally...this does neither....well maybe your principle but i'll leave that alone...:)

Yeah in no way did I say I speak for Iris or did I say my opinions and again I've stated that these are just "my" opinions have any say in the final decision, I didn't even go ahead and voice my opinion till it was asked that anyone who opposed raise their hand. So I guess if anyone has an opposite opinion of the majority they get ostracized and called an "elitist" and "selfish" but no name calling right, we are too old for that sort of stuff....

I do agreed that re-hashing old long closed projects is potentially problematic.

Guys it's Iris's call. Her contact info is available to everyone so if she says she will make the run no one can stop it. It's her call on it...she is so busy that it may not happen. No need to get into a heated discussion about it. Let's not kill each other lol

So to get Yunsil to rerelease an anton set - i guess we just need to ask her. It has nothing to do with Rainman coordinating it right? Her information is out there so its up to her, Lee has no say... right?

Wrong. Project coordinators have artistic merit to the projects they organize. I realize you are relatively new to the forums but u cant just go around getting in touch with artists convincing them to do more of something that was openly offered as set LESS THAN A YEAR AGO. Ive wanted countless sets in the past that i missed out on. Dont u get it? I didnt gather random ppl here n there to get another run going lol - I had to track it down if I wanted it. There are unspoken rules and common sense in this hobby, lets just say when yunsil re-released wonka via another artist - rainman flipped and so did the majority of his fans. Nothing to do with elitism. It has to do with professionalism.

u can take me off the list for this for this don't want people getting upset, would of bought this when first released but was paying on allot of other projects at the time. I also i kind of agree about stuff being a 1 time run even though i got 2 things on a 2nd run, I just want a butcher in my collection and since there is a new butcher outfit coming that has not been done yet I am just gonna stick with that one thanks.

I guess everyone is taking a stance on morals...one side its professionalism....the other side (me) on letting Iris and now other artists, get more funds for themselves...

while I see Phine1's argument...the basic part I got was that RM got angry for Yunsil doing another run of a custom project he put together....right...? Even after the 3 year mark...so I place RM in that same boat as wanting to control how and when someone else can have their own income aka eat....because I guess it would somehow devalue something he sold 3 years ago....again...that cycle of thinking that your product(s) should be kept to a select few can definitely lend to the whole "elitist" attitude around these parts...

BUT to give rebuttal to the comments about this being part of a set that was sold....na...this in itself was the set....not the entire Butcher figures itself...so this particular set item was asked of because people wanted their own butcher build up...so now people are up in arms because others want a 2nd run now of this clothing set for a character that was done before and argued about when THIS set itself was first offered?!?!....do you guys not see the irony in that?!?!?!...HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAA....wow...this is actually hilarious...who cares if its someone new asking to see if this could be made...the point is that some want to push something they feel is an unspoken rule...to what end...I can only speculate...me...i'm thinking from the POV that you should not stop someone else (aka an artist) from living or eating or selling their own products because you would "feel" a certain way specially in an environment where all this is irrelevant.
